Yeah, all we need is another street racing game. As if Midnight club 3, Underground 2, Street Racing Syndicate, etc. were not enough.

Sales will undoubtedly be extremely low for this game. It has some stiff name brand competetion that actually has solid prequels.

yeah but if the cars don't have wings and there is no stunt mode or battle mode then what's the point of it being a rush game ? Yeah, another Bling Bling racer that's exactly what we need. I when I heard about it my first thought was "Please make it take place in 2049". But it looks like that isn't the case. Unless I see something shocking I'm going to pass on this one.

It's like pac man except with prescription drugs. There are also platformer levels where you have to get your cash to your maid so she can buy you more pills.

Agreed, those wings were so damn fun, it's a shame they don't set it in the future. At least there still keeping the over the top shortcuts.

Well, hopefully they wont let the hardcore Rush Fans down and include them, plus the stunt levels were fun as hell!

Rush was ok, but I liked Beetle Adventure Racing even more. EA needs to make another one!

Hey I read the topic and was wondering "How the hell do you make a game about a crappy band?"

And then I remembered Journey Escape for atari & Crue Ball for genesis...

This is the first time I read the article. Fans should not be disappointed

"In order to capture the city of Los Angeles as accurately as possible. Beverly Hills, Compton, Hollywood, LAX, and Santa Monica are just a few of the areas that will be modeled in a realistic fashion, while each and every one of these sections will offer highly destructible environments. As for the act of driving itself, it's been confirmed that the game will be completely free-roaming with a mission-based structure and a series of new challenges that aren't necessarily tied to traditional racing. Additionally, players can look forward to experiencing cop chase, cross-traffic, and gridlock situations, while old-school gameplay elements like jumps and extreme shortcuts make their return as well. To make things even interesting, Midway has also included a number of different gameplay modes and more than 50 licensed street and concept cars. The variety of these automobiles should be vast too, with numerous kinds of muscle cars, SUVs, and import tuners. There will even be customizable parts and designs licensed by real companies with concepts provided by the aforementioned West Coast Customs. Midway has even alluded to celebrity voice-overs and a licensed soundtrack as well, but the details of such have not yet been finalized."

I personally cannot wait

I was really excited when I saw the headline, then I read the story. Oh, crap, it's ANOTHER Midnight Club/NFS Undergroud. Really, do we need another street racing game? I would embrace the same over-the-top arcade/stunt racing that the Rush franchise always stood for. That's what made them fun. But now it's just another "me-too"title, a game that pretty much wants to do everything else another established title has done, but thinks it can do it better. Hopefully Midway will realize what made the Rush games fun, and it will seem like something different in the genre.

I'd hate to think that what's next is Hydro Thunder with pimped out boats.

Wow driving around a modeled Los Angeles...You know what would be really great... If you played a cop in the new free-roaming Rush, and you can solve randomly occuring crimes...but you can also follow a story about getting revenge for your fathers death....They should make the liscensed soundtrack a bunch of rap songs....and have Snoop Dogg as a playable character.....
