Where can I fix a laptop screen?

I stepped on my dad's laptop, totally my idiocy. It's cracked, still works, but cracked. Want to know where I can take this thing to fix the screen? What stores usually do this repair, and how much does it cost usually? it's a generic brand laptop as well :/, thanks

a few years back, i lost my screen.

every pc repair shop i checked wanted to charge $150+ to do the service, plus the cost of the replacement monitor, $300+

long story short, i decided to buy a replacement screen off of ebay for $200, opened up my laptop using reverse engineering, replaced the screen myself.

i have a similar issue.. a perfectly working gateway laptop except for the lcd screen..

ive been meaning to get it fixed.. anyone tried those ebay services where you ship it to someone and they fix it?
