The PC versions of Rainbow Six Vegas are the best ones once Ubi patches them, but holy shit... I didn't think even they were this retarded.
I don't play PC games, but patching it that way is hilarious (and stupid).

That shit is so fucking ironic. I read the whole thread, laughing my ass off. Then ubi dev locks the thread. I'd love to see the penny arcade guys lambast the shit out of this.
I played vegas 1 to death, but since CoD4, I've had no need to buy any new FPS's, and don't see myself buying any new ones. UBI can do die now, I have zero interest in any games they have announced.

The most likely scenario is one of their programmer's (or D2D's, it's unclear who was reponsible) was asked to make a patch to avoid the CD-check and that programmer was lazy so he just copied the code that RELOADED had already written.
It's dumb to make a big deal out of this. A single lazy programmer says nothing of a company.

Yeah, that's why it's such a big deal, I think. Ubi is well-known for shitty ports and buggy products. Copying a RELOADED crack fits their M.O. perfectly.
