Who had or still has Turbo Grafx 16?

I remember when I used to play games like Bonk's Revenge and Keith Courage and the Alpha Zones (can't believe I still remember those titles). Anyways, just curious about who had or still has Turbo Grafx 16.

man i had that sucker perfect conditon and everything. i had the box and when i got the snes i sold that sucker. now i regret selling it. yup i remeber those game mine came with keith courage and bonks revenge. but i still think bonk part 1 was the best. i remember buying the system and was blown away by the graphics. i also remember playing and having tv sports football, tv sports baseball, blazing lazers, splatter house(this game is still rocks), legendary axe, and vigilante. cool system but marketed wrong.

I bought the Turbo-Duo years ago when Babbages put them on clearance. I still have it and lots of games for it, both HUE and CD. It was, and still is a fantastic system.

I had a TG-16 and I still have a Turbo Express, the TG-16 is still pretty cheap. A few years ago Dracula X was pulling in 300.00, Duo's about the same. Ever since DasMb got the DUO discs to copy the price has gone down :?

I picked up a ratty TG-16 used at a local game shop for cheap a few years back just to play the original Splatterhouse (loved the Sega Genesis sequels). It's a pretty neat system to own given its unique HU card games. Too bad it never really took of in N.A. and didn't have a better selection of games available for it. (Gee, these factors might have contributed to one another, huh?)

I still have one. I hated Keith Courage though. Neutopia (Zelda Ripoff) was SO much better.

turbo express man those things were sweet. i remember they used to go for 299.99 when they first came out and they had a tv tuner you could buy to watch tv. werent the turbo express heavy? who here bought the optional cd attachment. didnt street fighter 2 only was available on the cd.

one thing i hated about the tg-16 was that it had only one control slot basically you had to buy the stupid mulitap on top of an extra controller to play multiplayer. ohh forgot anyone of you guys remember a device that attached to the back to give better graphics on games if any of you had it did it really work?

I still have my TG-16 as well with everything in its box. Bonk's Adventure, Ninja Spirit (I think that was the name), some Golden Axe type game... that shit was cool. I aught to break it out and see how well those games hold up.

I have a TurboDuo and a TurboExpress. I have a bunch of games too, including River City Ransom and Gradius II imports. The Turbo really is an amazing system worth any gamer's time, especially if you enjoy 8/16-bit games as I do. My favorite game is Bonk's Adventure. Unfortunately I have yet to shell out the dough for Dracula X, being the cheapass that I am! :)

What's amazing to me is that it's been over a decade yet the TurboExpress puts many GBA games to shame (unless you count portability/battery life....I never minded using an AC adapter). you can even watch cable with the coax input on the TV tuner!

as for weight, without the six batteries it was about as hefty as an original GBA (quite impressive since it was a portable console!). even with the batteries in it was lighter than a Lynx.

the original Street Fighter (Ken, Ryu vs. Hawk, Sagat, etc.) was the TG-CD game you're thinking of, Lstorm, although it was renamed "Fighting Street" in the US.
Street Fighter 2 was released on a Hu card, an amazing feat hardware wise at the time (had to be special ordered from Japan)...it was quite expensive then and goes for a small fortune nowadays.

The Turbo Booster was the device that plugged into the back of the TG16. It didn't improve the graphics per se, but it let you hook up the Turbografx console via RCA cables. This of course allowed for an improved video signal over RF, as well as stereo sound in games that supported it. A "plus" version of the booster was marketed near the system's demise that allowed you to save ROM data for reloading of your game (however, it didn't always work and the battery had to be recharded every two weeks). The TG-CD and Turbo Duo included both of these options, btw.

I just bought a TG16 and about 7 games within this past year. I never had one as a kid, but one of my friends did, and I remembered good times playing Bonk and Bloody Wolf. Little under 200 bucks total for all of my stuff, and it was worth it. One of the coolest systems ever.

I bought a TG-16, the cd expansion hardware, a multitap, and about 20 games at a garage sale for $50. Right now, it's collecting dust on my shelf. I had some good times with it though.

I own the same unit I bought when it initially released. Also still have the CD player for it. Many years have passed and it's still my favorite system. Anybody that doesn't have one (and likes that era of gaming) should pick it up for sure. Titles to most definately buy: Aero Blasters, Bomberman, Dragon Slayer (CD), Dungeon Warrior, Final Lap Twin (a racing RPG!!!), Legendary Axe, Military Madness, Moto Roader, Splatter House, YS I&II (CD). There are still plenty of other great games. Alot of imagination and creativity in this system.

I still have my duo and around 50 games. Neutopia II is by far my favorite (and was a pain in the ass to get my hands on). Splatterhouse, Cadash, Legendary Axe, Gate of Thunder, SF II (although tough w/2 button controller) and Drac X still provide me with hours of enjoyment. Strider (with the Arcade card), however, was a major disappointment....inferior to the Genesis version.

Actually it was Street Fighter II Champion Edition, but yeah, it was cool.

We got a TG-16 in the winter of 1989 and still have it. Although it sucked being 9 years old and not knowing anyone else with one, I did have fun with it. Keith Courage, Bonk's Adventure/Revenge, Legendary Axe, Bloody Wolf, Splatterhouse, R-Type, World Court Tennis...I remember all of them.

I contemplated getting the CD attachment to play Dracula X but I've still got my fingers crossed that Konami will port this game to a current system. They could've done it for the PS1, but instead we got Castlevania Chronicles and no follow-up. Maybe the PSP?
