Also how about someone creating a silver CAG Madden account so fellow cags can find each other play some games of Madden. I am not a fan of playing people online that I don't know but if there is no one else to play with at the time sometimes you just have to bite the bullet.

Wow, I haven't played Madden online yet, so I didn't know about that yet. I just looked it up and it seems that it is pretty common in the online games. I sure hope that no one in our leagues uses it to win.

Well I posted a message last night saying I would do the league since human vs human games were much better experience for me than playing against the CPU.

But right now it looks like I have my Madden CE sold, so I didn't want to commit to the league if I wasn't going to be able to finish it off. If you need someone to be the bears in week 1, I can play the game just to help you guys out until you find a replacement. There's a chance I'll be shipping this game out on Wednesday though.

I tried to fix my NAT earlier, hoping to change it from moderate to open. I followed directions from TeamXbox.com to the letter, and it not only didn't work, but it fucked up my computer royally. The thing wouldn't even recognize the ability to connect to the internet.

After spending 3 and a half hours on the phone with Verizon, I'm NEVER trying that again. Moderate it is!

You can go to your Online profile and look at your friends list, if the person is on your friends list you can invite them to a game and its ranked. You have to look at the friends list IN Madden.
I'd imagine Lobby's are easier though.

In order for leagues to work they must be played in a certain amount of time. People simply lose interest as other things come up and other games come out.

Thats why the smaller the better and the quicker the better. If it does well simply do another league right after. I never saw the point in trying to draw out a league as long as possible. Get it going get it done and start the next one. This way after about 2 or 3 of them you will have a hardcore group of players that you know will be able to finish the league. These are the people you play a slow drawn out one with.

You cant start off with a slow one because you dont know the peoples commitment level yet.

IMO, if someone has been offline for more than 5 days they arent going to play a whole season. You need folks who'll be available to play games. I'm lucky I just work 2 days a week and I can play alot. Maybe a smaller league would work better. The other league I'm in, Jagged Toaster's, is going really smooth, to have all the teams playing. If you want to shorten it, you can count on me to play.

By the way here is a suggestion if you are not already doing it. Why dont you guys have a preferred time slot posted in the OP of everyones schedule. Have everyone post their preferred time in which there is at least a 90% chance that they will be on so that at least you have a point of reference when the other person will be on. For example.

Now if the people in the league are truly honest about what times they are on there should be no problem looking finding the proper people to play with. Also this will weed out everyone who doesnt plan on playing beacuse they most likely wont come back to post their preferred time.

Of course this isnt the answer to everyone but at least you will have a point of reference instead of always going by pms and such.

Yeah, were following the real NFL schedule, so there aren't any trades or anything. Basically you just look at the post UNDER the OP, where it has the week one schedule. Eventually I'll keep adding schedules so hopefully it'll be a massive 17 week post. But yeah, find your opponent on the list, contact them, and meet them in a lobby or invite a ranked match if you can. Home team does the invite.

I've never seen that feature in Madden. Just NCAA. My online experience has been buttery smooth, though.

As for running with the QB, it's right trigger to scramble behind the line and both triggers simultaneously for the running controls.

The final score of this game is very deceiving. The key parts of this game all took place in the 1st and 2nd quarter. I win the coin toss and I elect to kick to get the ball first in the second half.
Redstar makes quick work of my defense on the first drive pulling off a 34 yard scamper by SJax on one of the first few plays of the game breaking at least 3 tackles one of which was at the line of scrimmage.

He gets to about my 20 and I hold him down to a field goal, which was very fortunate b/c his offense drove down the field very quickly and with minimal effort.
I get the ball back on the kick off I drive down to his 44 yard line with 4th and 8. I decide to go for it b/c at this point his offense seems to be very strong and I make it. I continue driving down the field and throw about a 15 yard seam to Boss down the middle of the field with one on one coverage for the TD.

I take the lead 7-3. He gets the ball on the kick-off and goes 3 and out. I get the ball and get stopped at my 35 yard line so I punt away. The punt is short and my defender gets right in front of his face before he catches the ball. Redstar doesnt call for fair catch and he gets hit immediately and fumbles the ball and I recover the fumble and take it to the house making it 14-3 at that point. It is 17-7 at halftime and I get the ball to start the second half. The rest is history.

Okay I finally got my week one game in against sj41.

New England: 20
Kansas City: 14

Highlights of the game from a very snowy (wtf) Gilette stadium. Brady didnt have one of his best games, but did manage one strike to his go to guy Randy Moss. The high powered NE offense was shut down by a very impressive KC defense, and KC quickly tied it with a 99 yard kickoff return for a score.

With the fleeting passing game NE turned to Laurance Maroney to carry the offense, managing tough yards and eating up clock Maroney convered several third downs and managed a TD. The game seemingly out of reach at 20-7, KC scored late with a 25 yd TD to Bowe bringing the game to a 20-14 score.

But alas the comeback was not to be, after a failed onside kick Brady took a knee to end the game.


Sidenote: sj41 was really cool to play with, he punted and played an actual football game

Playing the game right is the best way. That game was very fun.

There were a shitload of INTs in my Raiders game, and I had one terrible one in the endzone. This was really frustrating, but I laughed a lot so it's okay. Definitely felt like I could have won this one, but I'll get better.

Im 4 Obama we are gonna have to pick up and play that game when I get back. I scored early in the 3rd and TO got hurt making that TD catch and the connection was lost. We can either start a new game from scratch or we can play 2 quarters with the score starting @ 14-7.

That's weird. Between all that and our inability to connect, and your NAT being open, I'd say maybe you need a new ISP. I'm not sure how ti is in Canada, but I had horrible service with Time Warner cable. Verizon DSL is great, though.

It's weird that it counted the disconnects against you though. There was a menu that came up after each disconnect and it said whether to continue vs. CPU or quit. I'd quit and select the option not to count any of the stats in the game so I assumed that didn't count the disconnect against you. Sorry if I chose the wrong option. I thought it was something about the server though considering it was around 9pm EST when we played. I checked my NAT settings too a minute before we started and it was set to "Open".

The Panthers host the 2nd annual euro game to the Bears and we have all of the action in cased you missed the 10:00 am American start time.

The weather was a factor as winds were reported to be up to 14 mph with heavy rain fall. Stand out return man Devin Hester said before the game, "I love this type of weather. It makes it easier to break ankles and get free." And it didnt take him long to show why you always need a podiatrist on hand when vsing the Bears. On the opening drive he makes a fool of 2 Panthers defensive man breaking out of one tackle then spinning past the other on his way to a 51 yard TD reception early in the first quarter.

Through the 2nd the Panther managed to double up with 2 TD passes from QB Jake Delhomme while the Bears only manage a FG score after 2 is Bears 10- Panthers 14. Later in the 3rd Bears shutout Carolinas offense while manging to score via the running game which piled up over 140 through out the contest.

Bears defense sailed the rest of the way as they shut out the Panthers in both the 3rd and 4th quarter including a goal line stand to close out the game.

Bears win 25 to 14.
