GG-This was a defensive game throughout. Once I got that TD on the punt return I played super conservative. I didn't want to turn the ball over to give you chance to get back in the game. Giants score again to make it 14-3 with a short drive capped off by a Derrick Ward screen pass. With about one minute to go in the 1st half Michael Johnson of the GMen picks off a warner pass in the flat for a 20yard td scamper. Overall Giants get two TDS on defense and on offense take care of the ball except for an INT on a deep pass on a good play by the Arizona corner.

Madden is all about turnovers if you take care of the ball you can usually win the game.

Total offense was almost even. Giants had 125 yards while Arizona had 126 but the Gmen defense and special teams won this game for us.

Wanderlai, that was the greatest Madden game of all time. I hope you do a write up from your perspective, because this game should be one that's talked about for hours to come.

KC Chiefs - 24 over the NO Saints - 21

For the short story: I made the game winning field goal as time expired in overtime after driving a good distance down the field.

GameRecap: Wanderlai wins the coin toss and gets the ball first, and scores. I get the ball and score but miss an f-ing extra point because I suck at field goals that bad somehow. Second quarter: He scores and then near the end, I get the ball back and throw an interception that is returned about 35 yards for the touchdown. I get the ball back, and drove down the field, but the same player dropped two wide open balls for pretty big gains, one being on fourth down, so I turn the ball over and the half ends. I'm down 21 - 6. To start the 3rd quarter, I get the ball, and I hurdle (okay, the game did it for me) over a low tackle and cut to the left side to take it in for a 92 yd kickoff return for a touchdown. I go for two, and the same guy that dropped two balls earlier makes the catch and puts me down by 7. I got the ball back at some point during the 4th quarter, and got a giant 40 yard touchdown from my tight end, Gonzalez. The game is now tied 21 to 21. The Saints get the ball back, and run the ball on my ass, but I then get a sack and a run stop to drive them back for a long field goal attempt, which was well short and wide left. "We're heading to overtime."

OT: He wins the coin flip and gets the ball, but I force him to punt after a couple minutes went by. He then punts it, but his guy bumps into my punt returner after I called a fair catch, so I get to start with the ball on my own 45 instead of 30. I drive down the field, and I get several key plays, including a 23 yard pass on 3rd down until I settle in for my 35-40 yard field goal. I get just enough leg on the ball to win as the time expires, avoiding the the game ending in a tie.

Great game, and sorry for making this so long. It was the best Madden Moment I've ever had.

Most likely. I think its fair (especially for you and those who joined late) because who wants to be the Jets, Seahawks and Rams?
I might even consider changing teams. Playing with the Vikings in Madden is so incredibly painful. I'd like to have some chance of winning.
Since its going to be a completely different branch from this league (records will help decide seeds, but thats it) I really think its fair to change teams.

I'm going to wait until we have 16 teams to make a decision.

I think the teams should be ranked by winning percentage and ranked 1-16 accordingly. I dont think that would be too hard. It gives the owners who played well during the season some reward for their dedication and solid play throughout the season.

Agreed. I think SStyler has the best record and I may have the second best record and we are both getting stiffed. BigAT is a very good opponent and I dont think its fair for any of us to have to play each other so early. Isn't this the tournament of champions. If there are cags who had bad records they should have to earn their way into the second round after playing some of the big boys including quanex, sstyler, myself and a few others.

Yeah, so I'm switching to the Saints 8-), lol. phi || and I attempted to play our Broncos - Redskins game earlier today. And by attempted, I mean the Broncos ATTEMPTED to not appear completely retarded...at which they failed miserably. :dunce:

At a rain-soaked Invesco Field, the Broncos received the opening kick...for about one second! FUMBLE!!!:whee: Washington picks up the ball and returns for a touchdown. :cry: That took about 10 seconds. Redskins kickoff again. This time it's pretty deep into the endzone, so I just let it bounce out for a touchback. :-k First play from scrimmage, I ran a stupid out pattern, DB steps right infront...easy pick 6 :wall:(that pick was totally my fault. It was just truly a stupid throw). Washington's offense has yet to receive the ball, but has a 14-0 lead, with 4:15 left to play in the 1ST QUARTER!!! :shock:

Redskins kick off again. I think I actually tried running the ball :), but got stuffed :cry:. So then, I tried another pass. This one was less my fault. Although there was some coverage, the receiver didn't even make an attempt for the ball. Why is it that receivers in this game play like they're high? "Hey...it looks like that guy is going to step infront of me and catch the ball. Whoa dude...he did, haha." #-o Amazingly, that one wasn't a pick 6, but within 3-4 plays, Washington had scored again, and it was 20-0, still in the 1st quarter.

I then just quit the game :shame:, and apologized to phi || but explained that taking a beating was not at the top of my list of "things to do" today. :boxing: He graciously allowed me to switch teams if I wanted to :bow: and we're going to try it again later. I think I just hate weather in this game. I don't know why, but I'm a night and day player in terms of the presence of bad weather. :hot::cold:

So, that's why I want the Saints! Fuck you mother nature, I'm playing inside! :bouncy: I hope this doesn't piss anybody off, but I just can't take Jay Cutler's bullshit anymore. If I ever meet him, I'm going to punch him in the testicle.:fridge:

god dammit I hate this game. I don't even know why I bothered against phi ||. Our attempt to play tonight was marred by lag...which I'm sure is the only reason the game was even close. He led 7-0 with about 3 minutes left in the 4th quarter. I stopped him on a big 3rd and short play at midfield, and he opted to go for it on 4th down. I expected a QB sneak, so naturally, I was going to try the only chance of stopping it in this game: aka "field goal block".

But because of the fucking lag, it made me choose fucking "2 man punt return" or some shit. I tried to audible to something else, but didn't have much time because I'm sure as soon as phi || saw my coverage, he probably nutted on himself with delight (and I was out of timeouts). He ended up gaining like 8 fucking yards on the sneak, and that was it for me.

I just can't take bullshit from this game. I will not tolerate it. I'm this fucking close to trading it in. Seriously. I'm not even having fun anymore...and I'm not a guy who minds losing. I'd just like it to blatantly be my fault. But EA has reached deep into the pits of hell to discover new ways to fuck people with this game. The fact that I bought the "Collector's Edition" makes me want to throw up on myself :puke: (that's for you Azu, haha)

EDIT - I do want to add, this is nothing at all against you, phi ||. You were more than accomodating throughout all this. This was a tightly contested game. I thought the game was locked up as the Giant D was playing well but with 3:25 left in the 4th quarter and with the Giants ahead 10-0, Ryan throws a strike to Roddy White running a post pattern in the middle of the field after evading a sack from Justin Tuck.
Giants get the ball back and try to run for a first down but are not able to and pass on 3rd down. Lawyer Milloy steps in front of a pass intended to Burress giving the Falcons the ball at the NYG 48 with plenty of time to get a tying field goal.

Giants D stiffens and forces a 4th and 13 at the Giant 40, which would be a 57 yard FG for all you following @ home, which is practically impossible. Falcons have to go for it and fall about 2 yards short of the first down and turn the ball over on downs.

Even if I assigned my TE and tailbacks to protect the pocket, I think Tuck would somehow manage to get in.

Alright so me and Sj41 actually tried to play our game last night.

2 disconnects later and its still not done. God damn EA servers suck ass. We were up to like 1 am playing and couldnt finish the game.


Also on a completely unrelated note...they should study the phenomenon that is playing a solid game and winning handily only to have the game disconnect. Then upon restart not being able to do a god damn thing and getting your ass kicked.

I was winning the first game 14-0 and had 3 INT in the first half then it disconnects. Upon restart I could do a thing to stop him and was shut out for most of the game until it again....disconnected.

Yeah, the servers sucked a couple nights ago. And I was garbage in that first game. Somehow everything started clicking in that second game and I would've won that game if I had stayed on that roll and the game didn't disconnect. But then again, you would've won the first game since I was just feeding you interceptions for no reason.

Good game and the score doesnt show how close it was. All those points game in the late 3rd to 4th QRT.


One note on the game. Ed Hockley (sp) showed up and robbed me of a TD in the first. I throw a lob fade route to Heath Miller and he clearly catches it 4 yards away from the back of the end zone. But due to maddens horrid programming he for some reason refused to put his foot down after the catch.

What happened was this. I saw that it was going a sideline catch and since i know the WR have no sideline catch animations I pressed down to keep him in bounds. That caused a change in moementum animation that somehow carried my guy 4 yards before he cut plant his foot out of bounds.

hahah sorry about not being on, I've been busy working like 6 days a week, and then there was thanksgiving break when I was out of town. I was waiting for The rock to message me and let me know when he wanted to play since we started a game, and then it d/c and I took care of some other stuff after that. We were suppose to play the following day but I didn't catch him on Live, and hadn't heard from him since. I got pitfall's message today, and saw that I lost by default, I was gonna be upset but I realized i"ve been MIA and Azu even said that he'd give me a pass since he knew I was busy.
