Just stumbled on this after I entered the ebay videogame code...thought it was a pretty good deal and I picked up a copy myself...if you couldn't get it anywhere else...

http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=3082491030&category=62 053

There are four or five of them left as of 8:30 on March 3.

After the coupon, the price is $26.99 shipped...not too bad for a brand spanking new copy.

Looks like at least one person thought the deal was as good as I did...

I think everyone jumped on the Outpost deal hoping it goes through. I guess they dont want to pick up multiple copies. I think the price is pretty good.

Cheers. :)

Am a newbie...just read rules and saw no ebay auctions. As I said, it's not mine, just thought it was a good deal. But will refrain from doing it again.

Thanks for the info.

uh...something seems fishy...if it sounds too good to be true, it probably is. I wonder if Sega is rereleasing the game.

My thinkiing was simply that once you took off the ebay videogame coupon, it was worth getting at $23.99...with 9% sales tax in chicago it works out to almost the same thing....

Maybe whoever is selling them bought them for 10 bucks when BB was clearing it out a few months ago.

I know those are the rules, but seeing that the item is being sold at a fixed price, and the game is sought out by CAGamers, is there any harm done? Just wondering

I've never had a problem with PayPal. There are sites like this out there for a lot of stuff, not just PayPal. There are going to be problems with millions of people are using a service or product. Everyone says PS2s break down, but you only hear about that because of how many people own a PS2. My launch unit has been going strong since.

I think Paypal is more of a risk for the seller rather than the buyer

Sometimes buyers who are frauds will say they never got the item and file for a refund and get it since PayPal purchases are insured and then the seller who REALLY DID send the item gets screwed for the $$$$.

As long as you shipped to a confirm address paypal guarantees the funds to the seller. As for buying...you can always get ripped off and you cant blame paypal because you dont check a sellers feedback.

Been using paypal for many years...every problem resolved to my satisfaction in a timely manner.

Do not use paypal to recieve payments from non-us residents. You are not protected in any way.

Also both of those paypal hate sites are full of lame people who are just bitter, stupid, and naive.

I used to be a big fan of Paypal until a recent auction I held. I sold a PS2 game to someone and shipped it promptly. Turns out USPS somehow lost the package, but thankfully I had insurance and delivery confirmation on it. The buyer filed a complaint with Paypal when it didn't arrive after a month. Paypal took another month to investigate and suspended my account even though I was cooperating. I couldn't fund the account since they suspended it so quickly. Then the buyer went to Squaretrade to try and resolve the dispute.

Long story short, I had to fill out forms with USPS, and it took another month to refund the buyer their money because of Paypal. It really was an aggravating experience, and I ended up losing about 20% on the original sale as a result of all the fees. I must have called Paypal about 10 times because the website isn't always clear on how to resolve disputes. The reps describe a different process for resolving disuputes also. Lesson learned I guess.

The funny thing is, the buyer left me good feedback because I diligently tried to refund her and kept her informed. 3 months and she never received the game.

I only keep like $5 or so in my account. So, lets say someone didn't want insurance, and the game gets lost and it costs $50. I only have $5 in my account, could they take it from my bank account without permission?

Paypal has been good to me too, for my purchases through paypal I have my AMEX card on file, they have a no hassle 100% fraud protection. I bought 2 things for my car at 135. The person only shipped one item which came in broken, and never sent me a refund for the rest of my money. Going through fedex I had to return the item for a refund....however the seller gets the refund. Anyways i kept all my paperwork together. Amex took a look at it and removed the charge.
