Ugh. Thanks for posting a deal I guess, but couple of things. First, the Wii has no need for anything like that. Secondly, the Nyko Intercoolers are some of the biggest causes of overheating. They've been known to CAUSE failure of the Xbox 360. I have no idea why you would want to attach one to a Wii, which has no overheating issues.

yeah wii connect keeps your wii in stand by mode instead of turning it off (Orange light instead of red light) and your dvd drive and some other things still running in that mode therefore making the wii really hot over time. Best thing to do is turn it off since it's basically useless anyway.

While it gets hot, it's not bad enough to warrant a intercooler. Besides, adding something that wasn't supposed to be there only voids the warranty.

Yeah, it was a really nice feature that Nintendo made to have a system run in standby, connected to the internet, without a fan running. Too bad it makes your system hot as hell. So I turned off mine and everything is better.
Aside from that, I really doubt the Wii has any problem overheating.

Yea. I turned my WC24 off when I realized how hot it was getting. (And my router started refusing to let it connect if it was left on for several days.)

This is going to suck, though, since Animal Crossing is the first game to do REALLY cool WC24 stuff, like friends being able to visit your town, even when your system is "off".

Oh, BTW, yes, the Nyko Intercoolers are a joke.

Since this "intercooler" is like the 360 one and pulls power directly from the Wii's power cord *before* it gets to the Wii, I'm assuming it voids your warranty like the 360 one supposedly does...

I leave my WiiConnect24 on all the time, and I've had it since launch. The Wii gets hot in standby, but it doesn't affect the system at all (no hotter than a wireless router IMO). The drive doesn't run when it's in standby either, so I don't see a reason to be worried.

Yes, the Wii gets warm. But it's built to take it, 24/7. Do not buy this. The Intercooler is a scam.
