And they should be giving these away by the beginning of August, basically think of it as a catalog showing some games coming out this year, with only 2 decent coupons out of the bunch.

On a rack in the electronics section, they had what is called the "Kmart Entertainment Guide". It has a picture of Lego Batman on the cover. It is a free hand-out similar to "The Guide" at Gamestop with two pages of coupons which I scanned and included in the first post. Going by the dates on the coupons (08/01/08-08/31/08), I imagine my store put these out early.

Also keep in mind, the back of these coupons have the K logo in a Red box and its feels like cardstock paper so printing / copying may not work too well.

You can get it right now at Gamestop using the coupon and Edge for $14. I actually picked it up when they had the better coupon (35%) and it was $13.

If you shop around you can find a non-bundle version at GS, that's what I did.

That's pretty much the best I can do with my scanner. Just an FYI though, the back of the coupons are red and have some K-mart info on them (I'll post pictures later tonight if you want me too). I can't imagine these books will be hard to get though once all the stores put them out, so I'd save my ink if I were you.

The multiplayer is actually quite fun. The chimera / human differences keep it interesting, and it's relatively well balanced.

The single-player is fantastic. The storyline and level designs are all great, plus there's plenty of the usual skill points and such that Insomniac does such an awesome job with.

Mine only had 2 of each title she tried to use the coupon and it of course wont work till 8/1 but wanted to see if she might override, they didnt but she wrapped them up with my name on them and said I could come back Friday and get them, nobody will put them out with her name on them she said. They'll give you a $5 coupon, you have to spend over $50 though. Also, right now you can get a $5 reward for an over $50 purchase. So today I got Resistance for $15 and have $5 for a future purchase. That future purchase could be Motorstorm and some additonal items as you have to spend over $25. Yeah you gotta buy extra stuff, but if you wanna get some groceries or some extra games it's a pretty good deal.

Scored one of the 5 remaining yesterday. My wife went on the 31st not knowing the coupon began on Aug. 1st, so the coupon rang up not valid until Aug. 1st. Wow! I just opened my copy of Motorstorm and a Sony Branded DVD R was in the case rather than the game itself. I immediately called the store and the manager told me they don't shrinkwrap games if there's a problem with them being opened, and that they HAVE indeed had this situation occur frequently in the past. He told me they had previously issued returns but now their claims loss department told them for the customer to contact the manufacturer directly. I told him there was another copy in the same condition on the shelf as of yesterday when I purchased and he relcutlantly agreed to go back and check that copy for a blank disc.

I am waiting impatiently on the phone with Sony now.....

just got back from big k~ found both coupon and the game.

the game rang up $59.99. I told the cashier she needs to have the manager come and update the price. The cashier was scared to call the manager b/c this manager supposedly is real anal about things. But I insisted to have the manager called over.

Well, she did call but the manager did not even bother coming to the CS area. The manager called and said the price that rang up is the price and nothing she can do about it.

The CS personal tried to help but could not update the price w/o the manager so I bought game anyway and will go back some other time when that lazy ass manager is not around.

went to the store this morning after calling 3 times (1 they hangd up, 2 my cell died, 3 got through) to make sure they had copies of resistance, which they did.

after the associate got the game and rang it out take a guess at the price(it wasnt GH pice, CAM dont these stores upated the prices).

i pointed it out to him to which he repelied cant do any thing even though i showed him the guide and said sony doesnt have GH games at full price and every other store in the area had it @ 29.99.

He couldnt do anything, so being upset i left the coupon behind to which he told me to take it with me even though there was 30 books on the desk and by the game case.

went to the service desk and asked to speak to a manager about the price.

he said he couldnt do anything but when i showed him the guide and said the priced dropped this past tueday(which it did). he went into the back and a few minutes later he said it should now ring up right. it did i used a coupon from a different book so i got it for $21 & change w/tax.

Funny is that this store is natorious for almost never giving out price adjustments.

check best buy for that Warhawk + bluetooth bundle. i went to my local best buy on Maryland Prkwy in Vegas and they had those priced at $29.99. it looks like they just put the "greatest hits" red sticker on the box. i picked one up yesterday and they had 3 left. great deal IMO.

The problem with these stores is that they're not activating their price drops. Every day the stores get PLCs (price list changes) that are to be activated and marked on the counters .... the problem is that the store will either not do them (as in thabizzle's problem here) or they activate and don't change the prices on the counter.

This is an issue that stems from the top and "the big red K" needs to chop the head off this beast and get new upper management who can crack the whip on these shlubs running these stores and make them accountable.

Whoever else is having the problem of the price ringing up, tell them that the PLC was pushed down last week. If that doesn't get you anywhere, ask for the corporate number so that you can explain the situation (since the price drop is not only company wide, but industry wide).

As a quick FYI, my wife works for K-Mart as a UPM (unit and pricing manager) and it's her job to update these prices. She kicks ass at what she does but only works one day a week at it so many of the lazy-asses at her store just save up their changes for her (can't do 5 days of changes in one day). And yes, her store did have them marked correctly.

I hope you can get it squared away. I have no idea why they have you calling Sony, as it's clearly Kmart's fault and not Sony's... Kmart accepted the return. I would return it to another Kmart, as defective.

Thanks OP. Picked up the last copy of Resistance and the next to last copy of Motorstorm at the Des Plaines, IL store. Both games actually rang up as $59.99 but I nicely told the employee that these should be $29.99. She pulled a sheet out from under the counter (I'm guessing its for pricing updates) to check if either game was cheaper now and she updated the price of both games to $29.99. Had a hard time finding the Entertainment guide at first but if anyone is wondering, its in the electronics department by the cash wrap in a small box with some other clearance games. After coupons I got both games for just under $44.

Thanks for the support...! The manager was nothing short of insulting, acknowledging the problem had happened in the past at that location, all the while not being concerned at all that it was HIS store that inevitably sold the faulty product. I had to spend 45 minutes on the phone, mostly on hold, with Sony, before they gave me the proper return information, all the while Kmart skirted the issue when I called back, and he told me, after a ten minute wait mind you, that the other shrinkwrapped copy, as he said, did in fact have a game inside the box.

There are two Kmarts in my area (near Baltimore). The first one had no Resistance.. The second one had ONE copy of Resistance and it wasn't the "Greatest Hits" packaging. It rang up at 59.99 and the cashier would not price adjust. I found the manager and she too refused. Unreal. Not to mention both stores are dreary and tired, and I usually never go into an Kmarts.

This latest go-round only confirms my feelings for this chain of stores.

But I will try again as the electronics clerk at the first Kmart told me they should get more copies of Resistance in soon.

Shrink wrap would be the seam around the edges that goes all the way around the edges.

Foil wrapping would be the kind that has the little triangular corners at the top and bottom and there's no real seam you can feel around the edges.

Yeah it all depends on the store, luckily my local store had made the changes on the 1st of the month but is now all sold out of Motorostorm and RFOM, but another store 25 miles from me still has not changed the price from $59.99. I guess it depends on the manager of the store, some managers try to keep as up-to-date as possible with all the price changes around the store.

Got my coupons in the mail today thanks to another CAG. My local store still does not have the guides. Went to the store and they hadn't marked down the prices. Manager confirmed the titles and said by the time we walked back to Electronics they would ring up at the right price. They did and I used the coupons as well. :) Very happy and I got all originaly packaging, no Greatest Hits and not even a RFOM that has the 9.5 out of 10 "sticker" on it.

Nevermind. Called K-Mart again today to see if they had the coupon book in a last ditch effort and by some stroke of luck they did, and they had Resistance. The person on the phone insisted that it was $59.99 and I kept telling them it was $29.99, and she kept telling me, "NO THAT'S NOT POSSIBLE, IT'S A NEWER GAME, IT'S $59.99 AND YOU CAN GET IT FOR $49.99 WITH THAT COUPON!" and I kept telling her that it was a PS3 launch title and every store is selling it for $29.99 regular price now, so then she finally scanned it (DURPAAA DURRRR) and said it was $29.99 and I could come get it if I want, and then just hung up on me.

When I got to the store it was a whole different level of frustration. There's nobody to be found in electronics, I had to search for some guy. He pages the woman to electronics, I go back to the electronics department and wait another 10-15 minutes. The lady comes back and I tell her I just called about Resistance, she walks over to the phone all pissed-off like and pages so-and-so to the electronics department "with the keys". Low and behold, the guy I originally asked for assistance walks back with the keys for the game display case and says, "Oh, I forgot I had these." I notice the games have the 9.5/10 sticker on them and I ask if there's any without it - the woman just yells "THEY'RE ALL LIKE THAT". Luckily the 9.5/10 graphic wasn't actually imprinted on the artwork - it was just a sticker on the cellophane.

I just wonder how this store stays in business with customer service like this.

The Pensacola, FL Airport Blvd store has the guides and the games are tagged correctly.
The guides are on an endcap on the bottom shelf.
I picked up both games.

Picked up the last copy of Resistance at my local K-Mart. I grabbed one of the guides as soon as I got to the electronics section and walked over to the cases. The game was advertised as $29.99, so I thought I was lucky to get a copy (an original copy).

Was able to use the coupon no problem. Thanks for the heads up, OP.

Hey guys, just a heads up. All the Aerosmith bundles and software is on sale at K-mart this week. Those books had a $20 off coupon on the bundles and a $10 off coupon for the software. I bought the software for the ps2 for $29.99.
