Non Shooter is what Im looking for really. Back in the day when we'd play PS2 all the time we found a gem of a game called Barbarian. Not the best 1 player story mode but a hell of a lot of fun if you got 4 people together. We'd also play Winback and Smackdown SYM. So I'm looking for some stuff I know has to be out there that i missed some party type games or maybe something a little different any thoughts would be appreciated thanks in advance guys.

Well, you have a football avatar. Aren't the Madden/NCAA games 1-4 player? Any that are older than a year are dirt cheap.

EDIT - I just looked through some of my games. ATV Offroad Fury 2 and 4 are 1-4 player. Firepro Wrestling Returns is (in my opinion) the greatest prowrestling game ever made and supports up to 8 players.

Never played with more than 2 players as I don't have a multi-tap, but I always liked Gauntlet Dark Legacy even with just 2 players. Mostly mindless, hack n slash, button-mashing fun (if you like that kind of thing).

The X-Men Legends games were good fun with multiple people, assuming you can avoid the nagging glitches present in both titles. They're kind of like Diablo with superheroes, and I believe this same gameplay carried over to Justice League Heroes and Marvel: Ultimate Alliance as well, but I have yet to try those...

There's obviously Rock Band, which supports up to four people and has become the party game of choice among my group of friends since its release last year. Keep in mind you'll need the instrument controllers to play though...

Although not my expertise, I would assume a lot of the arcade-sports games support more than two players. Stuff like the Hot Shots Golf series, the Outlaw series (Golf, Tennis, etc.), NHL Hitz, and the NFL Street/FIFA Street games should be worth your time if you're into any of those sports...

XML sort of sucked because, If I remember correctly, only some parts were multiplayer. A lot of the game had to be played solo. XML2 fixed that (constant 4 player co-op), but I found the story and graphics less interesting than the first. Never finished the game, but I still remember the colour-challenged settings (Rock Island! Dark Jungle! Underground Cave!).

MUA is probably the best. You get 4 player co-op, an interesting story, decent graphics, and a variety of supeheroes instead of just the whiny X-Men.
