:applause:

I really enjoyed this on the PC. I had picked this up while BigFishGames had that 50% off sale and it was $10.

The game will have ALL of the original levels plus new ones, so basically it's a port with some added features. Personally, I do enjoy games that use both screens to make one big screen.

The only thing I'm NOT liking is that it's a $30 game, but it looks like other Pop Cap games on the DS are released at $30 as well. :(

So, anyone else excited/interested? This may not be a day one purchase for me, but this may be a "Oh, it's on sale for $20? Ok!" kind of game.

Peggle is OK I guess but is really is sheer luck for the most part so I don't know...

This is my first Peggle experience and damn its pretty addicting. I think there's a nice combination of luck and skill. How many levels are there in the game?

Picked it up and looked at it today.

Was interested until I saw it was $30. Fuck that.

$10 PC/Ipod games should not be $30 just cause they're on DS.

From what I've read it only has 10 or 15 new levels, that's not enough for me to warrant a $30 purchase.

It has all of Peggle, all of Peggle Nights and 10 Q levels. IGN claims this makes around 125 levels. I still haven't gotten bored with the levels in the original PC version after a year, so I'm happy with the game for the price jsut to be able to take Peggle with me. The controls work well, but it does lack some of the shiny charm of the PC version (why does everything have to look so chunky?). I haven't played much yet because I've been consumed by Puzzle Quest, but I'm happy to have it as a diversion.

Also, the IGN review is wrong - you don't have to pick up your stylus and hit A to shoot the ball. To shoot, you can just tap the center of the aiming cannon. Much easier than using the buttons.

I'm having fun with peggle so far. Its a great experience when you get to a new level and think, oh this is impossible, yet after retrying a few times, you get a bunch of lucky bounces and clear the stage.

Is Gamestop the only B&M carrying this game? I'm not seeing a listing for it at any other store besides Amazon. My wife wants this game badly but I could get it for $5 at Best Buy using a GC instead of having to pay $30 at GS for it. I called BB directly and the don't even have a listing in their system for it.

i'm going to pick this up within a week or so. i've never played peggle before and i think this will be the perfect way to jump in. i don't mind paying 30 for it. but i'll try and poke around and see if i can get it for 20 anywhere.

I bought Peggle (Mac) just the other day for $2.50 via the coupon and sale and now I'm considering getting the DS version. Definitely a fun game and should be a lot of fun on the DS. However, I also have an iPod Touch and it's suppose to be coming to that platform as well, so I may buy it on that instead, but it's not clear when that version is coming out, if at all really.

I want this but not at the current price...hopefully it ends up an Amazon DOTD sometime soon!

Big Bang Mini is a fun/cheap DS puzzler that might hold you guys over in the meantime.

Guess what, it's down to $19.99 already at Gamestop :)

Bah, why did you tell me this. I have enough games to play right now.

Although I own both Peggles (and the special Half-Life edition from Steam) I've seriously considered picking this up. $30 is a bit much when you consider how inexpensive the PC versions are, which have much better graphics, but in terms of tiered DS pricing for top-shelf games, it makes sense.

All my friends who thought this game was "sheer luck" got terminally addicted after trying it. This game seriously weaves some sort of magic spell on you... you aim and shoot, but watching the ball is involving enough, even without manual powers like lobster flippers, that you don't feel like a passive observer. It's sort of insane how well-balanced it is.
