Computer making strange noises

Hey, so I think my fan is making strange noises, however, I can't really tell if its my case fan, power fan, or cpu fan.

Also if i end up buying a case fan, is there a super cheap one out there. Something cheaper than 5 bucks but good.

no. Buying a cheap case fan is just asking for your whole computer to die. Just throw in a little bit more for a 50 dollar one, and save yourself 300 dollars later buying another computer

The best way to figure out what is causing the noise is to open up your case and try to listen for yourself. Just put your ear close (but not too close) to each fan and see where it is loudest.

I think you're mistaken case fan with CPU fan. Case fans are the ones that mount onto the computer case.

To find out with fan is making noise, you can also stick a pen into the fan to stop its fins from spinning. It won't damage it and you can clearly find out which fan is noisy.

Just make sure you know the dimension of the case fans you are replacing, i.e. 80mm or 120mm. Use a ruler to find out.

yeah I think its the CPU fan cuz its the large black box attached to the cpu. do i have to buy an expensive CPU fan now? like upwards of 50 bucks or will the 30 dollar ones suffice
