since i got a new computer, i have been lookin for new games to get, im tired of the mmo scene, its just not worth the money at all. so i am into more of the rts area of warcraft3 and starcraft. or even the diablo type games.
anyone have any recommendations out there that would strike my interest? i was kinda thinking about getting the dawn of war games. but with so many expasions out for that game, its hard to know what to get.
reading that world in conflict got some good reviews. not sure how that is played out though. then theres company of heroes.
there are just so many games out, seems like i got a new computer at a bad time with so many good decent games.

If you are getting a Dawn of War game, I would get the Platinum Pack (http://www.amazon.com/Warhammer-Dawn-Of-War-Platinum/dp/B000RCOVXI/ref=pd_bbs_sr_1?ie=UTF8&s=videogames&qid=1217147468&sr=8-1). That will give you the original and the first two expansions, meaning you will only not have the latest expansion (which should give you access to 7 of the 9 races). Dawn of War is fantastic and I'm sure you won't regret purchasing it. The same goes for Company of Heroes, which is very similar to Dawn of War in most ways but requires a lot more strategy since it has a more advanced cover system and a lot of rock-paper-scissors game play.
A couple of other RTS games to look into are Sins of a Solar Empire and Rome Total War or Medieval 2 Total War. If you like slow and drawn out campaigns that require plenty of strategy then you should love those games.

I second Company of Heroes. I'm not that great at it, but I can definitely appreciate what the game is trying to do. Really critically appreciated as well.

COH is good game, but man it requires some serious skill. If you are good at RTS games, then get it, otherwise, it might be too much, like for me.
Bioshock ( An oldie, but if you haven't played it, shame on you!)
Call of Duty 4 (Excellent game)
Titan Quest ( If you liked Diablo, this is a knock off with better graphics)
The Witcher ( again another old game, but a fun one, I'm currently playing this)
