For years now I have been following the afore mentioned link while reading about there quest to create a 3d chrono trigger game for pc. http://www.chrono-trigger.com

I saw that a year would pass and they were only done with a few songs and a few tight images, so I felt the project was a radical dream (lol corny joke), and just disregarded ever seeing the site.

But now after having a gut instinct to check out the site to see how much progress theyve made, theyve revamped the whole site, now have funiding from numerous affiliates and are realy truckin along on the progress of the game. What made me even more happy was the date theyre gonig to release this bad boy... fall 2005. Thats almost upon us, and playing CT in 3d has been my lifelong dream.... go to this site and check it out http://www.chrono-trigger.com

Words can not express how happy i am right now!

Also, the game uses the Unreal Tournament engine so it is bound to deliver :)

BTW BEAR WITHTHE INSANE LOAD TIME ITS WELL WORTH THE WAIT.... SHITTY SERVER SO DIAL UP BEWARE

They SHOULD be working on improving the speed of their site.

Sorry, I don't feel like waiting 10 minutes for this site to load up.

Don't get your hopes high. They'll probably get handed some sort of lawsuit.

By release do you mean FREE to the public? Cuz noway are they going to be selling that sh*t without getting sued by Square.

This is really old news.

It's been posted at tons of sites. These videos have been up and running since February.

They are currently looking for a publisher, who will fork out the cash, for the rights, or so the CT trolls have beotched about since the videos were unveiled.

And now, ladies and gentlemen, my final performance of the evening.

*ahem*

UNREAL II.

Thank you.

I thought Unreal II was fine. On the other hand, I thought Chrono Trigger sucked.

You might need this, bud. Keep it for next time you decide to criticize an extremely popular SNES Square RPG. It's like insulting somone's momma.. you just don't go there..

Hopefully their code for the game is better then the code for this website. I've gotten nothing but errors, and it doesn't support Opera, either!

Wow, that is one of the slowest, most poorly designed webstes ever.

I'm happy to, but wouldn't fall 2005 be next year Q3?

Yes... did someone say it wasn't?

Maybe the site's just slow because so many people trying to access it at the same time? Guess I can't really say anything since I never been to the site :P
Fall 2005... thats still like a whole year, I dont see how its almost upon us.

Just cause it's popular, don't make it good. And I'm fully aware of how retarded people become when dealing with Chrono Trigger. Besides, my post was more of a defense of Unreal II than it was a bash of CT.

Keep in mind that they aren't remaking the entire game, just a few memorable scenes from it.

I never understood people's obsession with remaking old games.

If the game is so great then play the game as it is and leave it at that.

I've been watching this site as well. I hope it gets done but I think that they will be sued until thier brains pop out by Square.

Actually, I think if they can first get the character licenses from Toriyama, then they'd be fine.

After that, they just have to toss it in SQEX's face, as Akira does the artwork for DW.

It's all good.
These guys are saints, and should be paid a TREMENDOUS amount of money for their devotion.

I know that they have no problems using the FF1 characters for 8-bit theater because of some fair use act, so I guess that as long as they distribute it for free its fine.
