That is a nice find. My local targets has not have any muggs in stock for a few months. I sure would like to get cp30 and the stormtropper. I paid 9 for a few of those that you have their.

I also dig the Nightcrawler, Colossus, Dr.Strange, Adam Warlock, R2 and Death Star Muggs. I think a lot of customs would come out a LOT better if customizers ganked the templates from the Hasbro sketchbook and learned to emulate the flat shadows a little better.

I agree the SDCC Optimus is disappointing. I wouldn't call it metallic paint at all. I would at most have called him bold prime. Wolverine was exactly as I expected so no problem there. I was hoping Prime would be as amazing as Iron Man was.

I can't complain though as it was a gift from the wife. She likes that I collect Muggs so she said it was something that I just had to have in my collection.

They split my order into two shipments. The commons were packed correctly and had a packing slip. The SDCC Wolverine was shipped as you described. I was like "WTF!", but it was unharmed.

They're really nifty. As you can probably see, they slide up and down, using that knob on his arms. Pretty bad ass if I say so myself. This one actually got me back into Muggs, and I'll be finishing my Marvel collection when I get some spare funds.

I grabbed the last at mine, a Hoth Han Solo for 2.74... I wanted to get some paper, trace over the main facial details to make a stencil, spray it all gray, coat it in quick-dry cement, re-add facial features.. and han in carbonite. It's very tempting.

Got a Meijer near you? I can confirm that probably chainwide (or at least at the three stores I checked), Mighty Muggs are on clearance for $5 each. Just to give you a heads up of what you'll probably find, the stores I checked had a whopping one Marvel character between them (The Thing). Most of what's left was Star Wars characters from the later waves. I picked up Obi-Wan, Dooku, Mace Windu (unfortunately, all three of the Windus I saw had crushed boxes and what I think/hope is blue Silly String bonded to the package), and Plo Koon. I left Anakin, Asajj Ventress, and Grand Moff Tarkin.

Hope that helps somebody in the Midwest out. :D

Yeah, if you've been keeping up with the Star Wars line, there's probably not much there for you. Up until now, my only Star Wars characters were Vader, C-3PO, and (thanks to Target clearance) Tarkin, so I wasn't too hard to please. I was hoping for one of the Fetts or Chewbacca, but I can't even remember the last time I've seen them in a store.

I think I've got more Jedi now than Marvel and Indiana Jones put together. :lol:

Meijer seems to be a bit of a bust in terms of packaging; there's a larger number than usual that either have crushed boxes or a top flap that's unglued or ripped open. The figures inside are just fine, though, and that's the important part to me, especially at these prices.

Depending on how you feel about the others .. personally I love the ones that I have, I just don't want to hose myself by asking for too little, nor do I want to hose the buyer by asking for too much.

Picked up a Snowtrooper at Target for $2.74, passed on Silver Surfer and Thing x4. They're most likely at the local Goodwill now, priced higher than $3. (Anytime an entire aisle of Target clearance disappears, it means they've sold their beyond clearance unsellables to Goodwill in a wholesale lot)

I'm not sure how many stores have Mighty Muggs left at this point; they've been on the clearance racks for a while, but (at least around here) didn't move very quickly once they got there.

I lucked out and my K-Mart still had Galactus and Doc Ock (whose box looks like it's been through a woodchipper) sitting in the corner of the clearance rack. I picked them up - I figure they wont' get much cheaper now, and I like the characters. Unlike the Cairo Swordsman who's still there, months after being marked down for the first time. :)

Anyone heard anything about possible new Muggs? Last time I was Target, they still didn't any in sight after being clearanced earlier this year. TRU who usually had the best selection in my area still hasn't gotten any new Muggs in (meaning, they've not gotten any sort of rotation in what's currently out).

Pretty sure no one knows what the future holds for Muggs. I myself would've thought them dead already, if not for their appearance at SDCC. It wouldn't make much sense for them to announce new Muggs but then never release them.

I hope they make an appearance for Christmas, but I'm not holding my breath. Even then, I'll be very surprised if they pop-up outside of Toys R Us.

I did email BBTS and asked them what they meant by a "shared exclusive" in an email they sent out. Their response was that they would be selling it with a few other online retailers and TRU.

I have seen no info on TRU's website so this may matter to some on where and when they want to order. I just know one way or another they will be mine.

The number of Muggs in the upcoming Iron Man wave isn't guaranteed, as there's been a number of rumored Waves and rumored Muggs. The wave could consist of any of the following
- Iron Man Mark IV (the suit from Iron Man 2)
- War Machine
- Stealth Suit Iron Man
- Re-issues of any previous Iron Men (including the SDCC version, Mark 1, or the orig)

If they do come out with the rest of the Movie Toys (as has been indicated), it would put them at a March-ish release date.

You can try some K-Mart stores, but your best bet would be to buy from an online retailer -- 'cause the majority of these are long gone, except for the Iron Man 2 Muggs (which just came out) and the Transformers Muggs.

I had my TRU stock check the new Iron Man muggs, and it seems they have no clue when they'll get it in stock. At least it's in their system though.

I'm guessing east coast people can expect it to come near the end of the month or early March and the west coast are starting to stock it now.

actually, i've heard that most of the iron man 2 toys are street dated for release on 3/1 but the mighty muggs are not. still, it seems that many (most?) TRUs are holding their stock or not getting any until that date. so if you can't find anything in-store, that might be why. check back on 3/1 when ALL the iron man 2 stuff hits, and i'll bet these guys are much easier to find nationwide.

Tell me about it! I can keep 8 on top of my two DVD racks, and then 8 in front of my TV if I position them 'just right'. If I don't, its 7, as one gets put away because the clicker won't work. Since I have all of the Marvel muggs, the only I collect, but two, that means I only get to display 16 of the 29, soon 31, I own, so I'm have to cycle through them every few months.

Picking just 16 is hard work.

I just called and now they're telling me that they have no way of knowing what they ordered (in general, not just relating to the Iron Man 2 Muggs) until they get the truck in. I used the item number "354857". If you ask someone at customer service to look it up for you, they should be able to tell you if they have any in-stock and if they are expecting a shipment on a specific day.

Somewhat unlikely ... plus I think the market for Muggs has cooled, as even the rarest have seen their value decrease over the past 6 months (SDCC Iron Man, Venom, etc). It's possible that some of them still may be worth something over time, but I wouldn't stock up on these new Iron Man Muggs with the thought to make money later. If anything, shipping kills a nice chunk of the profit, as you pretty much have to ship via priority due to size and weight restrictions.

I received my Iron Man and War Machine muggs today from TRU.com. They shipped them UPS Basic when they told me UPS Ground. Well worth the wait anyway, as they look amazing in person. War Machine is awesome. The removable turrets can be held in his hand like a gun. I put them up in front of my TV close to the way they look on the movie poster.

Can't wait for SDCC and Hasbro to put that flip up visor Iron Man on their website.

Prices have always been kind of high for venom, granted there was a re-release awhile back, so the price has come down. What you have to remember is that muggs cost at least $10 if not more to ship, due to the fact that they have to ship priority or ground due to their weight. So you would basically be paying $10 for venom and that's retail. While many of the muggs have lost value over time, Venom was exceedingly popular and at one point was going for $60 to $80. More recently I've seen venom go for $40 or maybe $30 if you're lucky.

I think Mighty Muggs are truly dying this time. Toys 'R' Us is supposedly the exclusive seller now but other than the Muggs that no one seems to want to buy, Hoth Han Solo, General whatever-his-name, and Duke, I barely see other ones available. I did get the Iron Man Muggs when they came out on March, but that was it, the Transformer ones are gone too.:-(

Edit: For those that did not get a chance to get the Mark IV and War Machine, your only bet right now might be getting them from eBay or maybe Toys 'R' Us will restock near the showing date of the movie. But as looking at Hasbro's own online store, seems like they are giving up...or nearly there.

That's what I've been thinking, that they may restock as the movie release nears, but somehow I think that these will be as rare as Venom, as the Toys R Us stores near me only got one batch in March and that was it...no other restocks since then. So I'll wait a bit longer and then hit up eBay. :-(

i have been going to 2 toys r us in my area (monrovia and alhambra) and neither have ever had any iron man/war machine muggs :( I'm really saddened and upset and hope i don't have to resort to buying off ebay. if anyone could pick me up one of each, i'd pay you back and then some!

I didn't like the look of the list and made one for myself, but I haven't updated it since the new Transformers wave and the new Marvel Muggs. The wikipedia should work for you for now.

Frank & Sons is pretty cool to find some old stuff. Now you know why it's hard to find stuff. Last time I was there was when the ROTF Fallen figure first came out. The sellers there were coming out with tons of them!! I remember the bastards were selling there for $20-$30

Not sure if this has been posted yet but check your local Ross (if there's one nearby). I've seen a few of the older mighty muggs on sale there for about $5. Of course YMMV on what you'll find. I've seen Destro (shiny head), Baroness, Darth Vader, Boba Fett, Vision, etc.

I nabbed a Destro at TJ Maxx for $3. I advise checking all TJ Maxx/Marshalls/etc. stores for Muggs, personally. They also get some Star Wars multipacks and GI Joe single-card/comic pack/5-packs.
