I found Han, Chewie, Vader, and Darth Maul today, but passed on all of them. I'm on the hunt for Obi Wan, Grievous, and Thor. Is Darth Maul rare? I typically see him when I'm in the "I need to buy a Mighty Mugg" mood, yet can never find the ones I'm searching for when in that mindset. Yet the ones I want are in excess when I can't buy one...

OP, Walmart has a few mighty muggs online with free "site to store" shipping. Shipping to the store takes about a week from what I've experienced. (If the link doesn't work, search for "muggs" and you'll see what they have available). I also saw this from somebody else's blog and thought they were pretty cool. Notice the "terrorist checklist" on Bruce Willis' arm. AWESOME attention to detail!

I bought my first mighty mugg today as a gift. It as a hulk figure from Target. They also had a lot of Obi Wan Kenobi's, Indiana Jones, and one Yoda figure left. I'm still looking for the Doc Ock or classic Iron Man figure hehe.

Picked up Dr. Doom from one Walmart this morning. I was hoping that they would still have the Thing in stock, but he was gone. Then I stopped by the second Walmart on the way to work and got Black Spidey and Doc Ock. No sign of Ghost Rider who was there a week ago. Oh well.

The cape on my Doom wasn't quite right, it was lifting him off of the ground. I reshaped it by hand and it seems to be working better for now. Doc Ock is a little back-heavy because of the extra arms. His paint job is actually glossy, so he stands out, but not in a bad way, and I was suprised to find out that the extra arms can spin around.

Still need Iron Man (classic), Venom, Hulk, Thing, and Ghost Rider. 7 down, 5 to go... I'm past the half-way point! And Hulk is all over the place around here, so I'll use a gift card at Target to pick him up on Sunday. I actually haven't seen the new wave at Target yet, so I'm hoping to find Ghost Rider there soon.

It's best not to chance it if you really want a certain character.

Sometimes they get hard to find.

Pretty much all of the Marvels (except Hulk) are currently hard to come by. The rarest one so far has been Venom...very HTF, haven't seen one in stores, I lucked out and bought mine through HasbroToyShop.com when they had them in stock a month or so back. They are re-issuing some figures, like Wolverine, Spider-Man, and supposedly Venom (in Sept.)

For SW MMs: Boba Fett, Stormtrooper, C3PO, Darth Vader, and Gen. Grievous seem to be a little scarce.

Indy: I don't collect those...not sure.

Next up, GiJoe (Expected Nov) and Transformers (Expected ???).

If everybody is a Mugg Collector, I suggest to sign up for that site. I just traded a Swordsman (easy to come by) for a Boba Fett. Also 3P0 is one of the rarest to truly find along with Stormtroopers.

Urban Outfitters has them also. I walked past the location on Melrose and they had all of the new ones. They're 20 bucks a pop there though...

Why people charge twice as much for these is beyond me. Most I'll drop for these is $15 at a retail store. Only way I''ll pay more is if they're rare (like venom/stormtrooper) or if they're special editions or exclusives.

My local Walmart had the new wave of SW MM on shelves (Anakin, Dooku, Asajji, Rex), as well as a BUNCH of the older ones (Stormtroopers, C3P0, Luke 1st, Mace, Obi Wan, Boba Fett). If these are still 4 to a case, they must have received at least 4 cases of the new MM and 8-10 cases of assorted previous waves - ie, I saw at least 2 C3P0s, 3 Stormtroopers, and 3 Boba Fetts. These hadn't been there long.

Went to a local Garland Wal-Mart and I saw so many Muggs, me and my girl were totally shocked. We saw 3 Leia's, 2 Darth's, a Stormtrooper, a couple Jango and Boba's along with the usuals and commons.

Same with the Marvel ones: I had all I wanted that they had except symbiote Spidey, so I got that one.

They also have a pretty good selection of other Marvel and Star Wars Muggs (including the elusive C-3PO), and other vinyl toys. The guy that runs the store, Reggie, is a really awesome guy.

I found my Captain Rex and Asajj Ventris Muggs at Toys R Us today though. I'll have to post a photo of my entire Mugg collection at some point.

Found Iron Man and picked up a Hulk today. Iron Man's box looked like it had been through the trash compactor, but the figure's fine and I don't care about the packaging. Saw tons of Star Wars muggs today, including multiple C3POs, a Vader, and a Boba Fett. Didn't get any of them, but if someone needs them, I'll see what I can do.

Just need Venom, Thing, and Ghost Rider to complete the (non-exclusive) Marvel line. I think I'm more tempted to order the Thanos/Red Skull 2-pack than any of the other exclusives.

Go to the offical hasbro page (http://www.hasbro.com/default.cfm?page=ps_results&product_id=20907) and compare what's on the box, to the figure in the box (and in the large image). The four eyes version has those extra large grey circles on his eyes and the smaller white ones. The two eyes version only has the white ones. According to hasbro, it's supposed to have the 4 circles to match the packaging. They found the mistake after the first wave had shipped, and it was corrected for later releases. Supposedly there are 2 versions of Chewbacca as well, but I didn't look into it.

Buy a commonly found MM like Hulk, primer it and make a custom. That's what most people have been doing.

One of the Walmart I went to put them at Action Figures section. At Target and Toys 'R' Us, if looking for Star Wars Muggs, just look for Star Wars toys and they should near there, same with Indiana Jones. For the Marvel ones, try to look for Hulk hands, Iron Man masks, and bobble heads.

Seems like either Hasbro are releasing more of mix of Marvel's wave 1 and 2 or Toys 'R' Us has stock of them that they did not put on the shelves, because I saw more Captain America, Wolverine and Spider-Man in couple Toys 'R' Us I went to. If they are releasing more Spider-Man, then those are not very good ones. The ones I saw have lines smudged on their masks. Few Toys 'R' Us I went to recently have Muggs that I wanted, was going to get them, but someone opened them.:-|

I've passed on a few Spider-Man mighty muggs due to their shabby paint jobs. I often inspect the MMs and select the best one, so it's definitely not just you being overly concerned.

Also if anyone needs a Grievous (it might be scarce in your area) send me a PM, as I wouldn't mind shipping one out for any Marvel MM.

Oh yeah, Thor is freaking awesome. If you see him, pick him up; you won't be disappointed. The hammer is pretty big, and the helmet (with hair) adds so much to the look. If you're having trouble finding Mace Windu, let me know. My local Walmart has several of them.

I finally found the darth vader (with two eye looking) mugg but the eyes were white and over each other. I decided not to get it.

Ok First I have to admit that these things are cool. I really want to get some of the Marvel ones. Any suggestions for a first time Mighty Muggs buyer. Where are the best deals? Which are the rare sought after Mighty Muggs at least for the Marvel product line.

If you want to collect the Marvel Muggs, the first one you can get is, Hulk! They are practically everywhere, though I am seeing less of them in some Walmart and Target. The best price for Muggs would be Target as they have them for $9.99. I did see a new wave of Captain America, Spider-Man, and Wolverine in some Toys 'R' Us I went to recently.

The rare ones for Marvel Muggs are:

Peter Parker
SDCC Iron Man
Peter Parker

There are also ones that are not as rare, but might be harder to find than others, depends on where you are, they are:

Classic Iron Man
Dr. Doom
Symbiote Spider-Man

Yes....Like I've mentioned before, its cheaper to pick up a Hulk or a Obi-Wan at your local store, since they are pretty common, and primer and paint.

Thats what I plan on doing, buying a Hulk (well 2, so I have a regular one) and try to at the very least, alter him a bit to get my feet wet with customizing (very artistically inept).

Buying blank ones are okay too. No need for the extra sanding and priming to cover all the colors, especially the white one.

If it were not for the tax, I might grab couple blanks, just for the heck of it, since you cannot get them in stores.

Strange, I have two Storm Trooper that I think have lighter armor, but one sports a darker gray on the arms. The worst thing is that both have bad paint jobs. :-|

Picked up my first MM today. Just Indiana Jones set and maybe a few of the GI Joe ones for me since I'm not a big comic book fan anyway. These things are adorable. I wish they were slightly squishier though. Makes me worried about how the Fertility Idol I ordered on the Hasbro site will look though since there were some clear blemishes on the paint jobs of all the Indiana Jones MMs I saw.
