That's how all the caped MMs are because of the way they are packaged. You have to bend them inward a bit on the bottom, they'll adjust and you should be able to stand them with no issues after that.

a target here in the las vegas area (sunset and stephanie) had all the gi joe muggs and they were 8.99. I didnt pick up any myself, i am just not that impressed with the gi joe muggs. On the fence about storm shadow though.

I was at the Peoria TRU this past weekend, and they had no sign of punisher or jigsaw. They did only have one marvel mugg, so hopefully they will fill the shelf with a bunch of punisher and jigsaw muggs. :lol:

I checked the Naperville TRU and they had all the normal Star Wars ones, except they had a Boba Fett! I was very excited, yet instantly saddened to see that not only did the box look as though Jabba himself sat on it, but as did the Mugg... : (

On the bright side they did have the entire GI Joe collection. I picked up 3, leaving Storm Shadow behind because although I can look past small paint errors, this one had a claw/like scratch on the chest, the belly was dented inward and the paint on the face was a bit off.

And to AK85, all of the TRUs I have checked are fairly clean of Marvel Muggs, this Naperville one had only 2 Things and that was it.

Oddly, every Walmart I have been to does not even carry Mighty Muggs. There are no sections for them and the only ones I find a place for are the IJ which are clearanced to I believe $7.

I don't know if anyone has noted this, but a few pages back I said that Target had Marvel Muggs at $8.99, but when i was there today, they had another sign and it was for the Star Wars ones as well, so all MM are on sale for that price it seems at Target.

i love these muggs. the designs are good. i'm impressed by the variety of weapons. even 60-some muggs into collecting, these guys make the line feel fresh again. can't wait for more!

I bought Cobra Commander and will finish the collection with Storm Shadow very soon.

I picked up a Punisher and Jigsaw at the Toysrus in Goodyear, AZ. It's a huge toysrus that's only a few months old and out in the middle of nowhere. I got the only Jigsaw their and they had 2 Punisher's left.

OK I have a few questions about customs.

Does anyone know a good how to site?
Every search ends up with other peoples customs.

Also I was thinking of buying a few Indy muggs on clearance at Wal*Mart for $7.00 instead of $9.99 + shipping for the blank ones.

Would it be easier to buy the blank ones? I could just paint and go, cause it would seem I'd have to sand and prep the Indy ones like crazy.
I have lots and lots of time on my hands so it's no big concern.

Any opinions or links or thoughts would help and are welcome.

i have to believe that stores will get more cases than this inital shipment. doesn't seem right that, because of the case breakdown, stores would only receive ONE jigsaw figure. if that were the situation, it would put his production numbers at what? a few hundred? convention exclusives have a larger production run than that. i'm confident we'll see more of them both, just not yet, right after christmas, when stock is low and stores are still doing inventory. plus, they're still not available online yet.

Either way, that new line looks very nice, and judging by the sheer number of Targets in my area I don't see how I wont be able to pick up that Shock Trooper once it hits the states.

Thanks for the heads up on the C-3PO re-release. I missed out on that MM the first time around. Good to see that another SW wave is headed our way. I really like Bossk, the Shock Trooper and Biggs. You can't go wrong with a porn stache.

the teebo/wicket and wedge/biggs thing is kinda confusing, but the character selections have been kinda all over the place lately. while it's certainly valid to ask 'why teebo before wicket?' or 'why biggs before wedge?' i'd argue that all four of them shouldn't have been released until some other core characters are out. for instance, where's padme? or qui-gon? or, although many would hate him, jar jar?

still, looking at those pics... i LOVE the look of biggs. bossk is cool too. snowtroopers aren't exciting characters to begin with, visually, pretty much just a big white blob. so they're fine, i guess. and i'm not a fan of teebo. the headdress shoulda been separate, like mola ram. and the shock troopers are cool, but not too original since they're, well, clones. but it's always good to have more!

Sorry, nadda. Threw the paper that came around it out before I got home. No idea where the receipt is either.

yep... found a single punisher like 2 weeks ago at my local TRU, and i was able to order jigsaw online. but luckily prices are going down on ebay (especially for punisher) so if it comes to that for some collectors, at least it won't be too hard of a hit.

Saw a couple Indiana Jones characters for $2.7x in the Toy clearance at target....Molo? and a swordsman?

Yeah, all Indy toys are being cleared, including the Muggs. Target only ever stocked Wave 1 (Indy, Mola, and Cairo).

Target also seems to have the new wave of Star Wars (Biggs, Theebo, C-3P0 rerelease, etc).

yep... it's official... target is now the place to check!

first of all, destro and baroness have been spotted for joes, so 'wave 2' or the extension of 'wave 1' or whatever... hitting earlier than expected.

and star wars... targets are getting 2 different case assortments, with all figures labeled as being "only at target." the first case is shock trooper, snowtrooper, biggs darklighter and bossk. the second case is teebo, C-3PO re-release, commander cody re-release and captain rex re-release. the re-releases have an "only at target" sticker even though they were once available elsewhere. these are all hitting stores now. good luck everyone!

I swear my area sucks for MMs. Today I picked up Cobra Commander and Shadowstorm. Snake Eyes was nowhere to be seen but there were about 8 Dukes. I have found the GI Joe Muggs in-stock at only 1 Target. It looks like Snake Eyes is going to be the Venom and Duke is going to be the Hulk of the GI Joe MMs in my area.

I'm still kind of disappointed that I have yet to find Darth Revan at Target. The search for the newer MMs continues...

MasterSun1- targets actually did stock wave 2 of indy muggs. i've seen henry jones and monkey man there before, but never mutt. i just don't think very many targets got them, as they sat on wave 1 stock for so long without anyone buying.

emg28- snake eyes and storm shadow do seem to be the popular ones right now. i wouldn't call either of them venom, but i do agree that duke is turning into a new hulk. however, upcoming cases of joe muggs will be re-releasing snake eyes, storm shadow and cobra commander... all the wave 1 muggs except duke. so i think, as more come out, we'll start to see a better distribution of them. it's just early.

My friend told me that in the new issue of toyfare that DC will have a their version of might muggs but asort of different design. Can anyone clarify? He did not have the issue on hand. My local target had a bunch of gijoes and old marvel's like spiderman, iron man, and the thing (I finally found him) and the new star wars like maskless darth and darth raven.

Regular, non-graded, SDCC Iron Man now has en entry at HasbroToyShop for 15 bucks...currently reading "sold-out", so either they only had a really limited quantity, they're just getting the entry up now to stock later, or they're just teasing us. Either way, might be worth keeping an eye on.

Just picked my first two Mighty Muggs (Iron Man and Darth Vader) and now I can probably say I'm addicted to the line.....just not most of the characters released unfortunately. I'm still going to pick up Captain America and SDCC Iron Man (Yeah, right) though, kudos to whoever suggested Mega Man, his design is perfect for this line.

well after lots of thinking i decided the transformers ones are going to put me into the i need these things category.

so i stopped by my local walmart last night and saw alot of them not organized by kind just in a general mighty muggs area. there were a lot but i passed as there were none on clearance and didnt see anything i really wanted, yet.

so i went to the closest target to my work today during lunch and they had 2 mola rams and a cairo swordsman on clearance so i snatched them up right quick. then i started looking for the normal priced ones and found them all jumbled together but with about 3 separate facings in 2 different aisles and saw a single silver iron man so i snagged him for the sale price of 8.99. i also saw that sign stating their policy.

other than the limited ones are there any that are particularly rare that i should keep my eye out for? also if there are any that people can not find post here and maybe we can work something out.

I picked up Wolverine the other night at Target. My Target refuses to advertise the fact that they're $8.99. It's a secret sale here.

I passed on Snake Eyes and Stormshadow. It's almost funny how you can tell the exact number of cases any given Target has gotten by how many Dukes are left. I'm really surprised that C.O.B.R.A. Commander doesn't sell very well. I like his design much more than Snake Eyes.

Next on my short list: Shock Trooper and Soundwave.

Very shady of Target to say "exclusive" on C-3P0 and others. Big Lots could do that on 80% of their merchandise according to the method of "no one else sells it anymore".

I was thinking of the ROTJ luke the other day too though. If they make one of those I might get it.

ya know... i've been trying to wrap my head around what a jar jar mugg might look like. between the long ears and the eyes on top... it would take some serious alterations, but nothing so extreme that i don't think it wouldn't work nicely. but yeah... sad to admit that i want a jar jar mugg.

as for those newest four, the only one that seems a bit off to me is the wampa. not sure why though. it's like, he needs to look meaner or something. and i wish the ewoks came with separate headdresses, but they're still pretty darn cute. the royal guard is awesome. and i can't believe how accurate the liam neeson face is on that mugg.

not really. there's a few that are slightly harder to find, but this all seems to be regional. some people have a hard time finding, say, chewbacca. others see him everywhere. it varies a lot. and with frequent re-releases, the harder to find muggs don't stay that way for very long.

If you look at the Jazz MM, they shouldn't have any difficulty making the eyes on a Jar Jar MM. The ears on the other hand, they would probably just paint on ala the Wampa's horns. The painted-on horns throw the Wampa off IMO.

Looking forward to the Royal Guard, Qui Gon, Jazz and Shockwave. I would also pick up a Jar Jar Binks MM. Hell, I'll pick up any MM if I can find them B&M.

there's also re-releases of C-3PO, captain rex and commander cody. they're not 'target exclusive' really, since they were originally released everywhere, but they still have the 'only at target' sticker on them now. they're exactly the same as the original releases. many longtime collectors probably won't care about them, but if you're just getting started... this is a great way to find three older muggs on the shelf now, and for only $8.99!

Out of the box for me but I keep all the boxes stacked on a wall shelf. I stack them with the side facing out so all you see is half of the character. I looks pretty cool imo.

I would think Jango/Boba would be harder to find because I don't think they've been re-released. The Vader w/ helmet on might be harder to find. The version w/o helmet is newer and might be easier. Venom was re-released and I've seen a ton, so I wouldn't think you'd have trouble there.

they're not *quite* out yet in the states, but people have gotten them from (ebay) sellers in asia. they should be hitting stores within the next few weeks. BBTS claims they're shipping out pre-orders on thursday.

rarity has a lot to do with particular stores, regions of the country and the re-releases. some people have said that rex was hard to find, but i've never had trouble. and with the target exclusive re-issue, i'm guessing he won't be hard to find at all now.

venom is more rare, but re-releases in stores, online, and hasbro store restocks have made him a lot easier to track down lately.

vader, jango and boba have all been re-released as well. i've had an easy time finding vader, less easy time finding jango, and haven't seen a re-released boba yet. i've heard other people say the exact opposite though. i advise you to order online. all of these are pretty easy to find online at walmart, toys r us, or the hasbro store.

symbiote spider-man hasn't been re-released yet, and i know that i haven't seen many around lately. but again, others will probably say otherwise. i think there's a few places online that have him though.

one note on vader though, if you're not interested in collecting everything... maskless vader's head spins around so it's maskless on one side and masked on the other. it's like having 2 muggs in one. so if you just want A vader and the THE original vader, he's an easier-to-find option.

Not sure if this has been mentioned already, but the same source that broke that the future Indy Muggs were canceled has said wave 3 of the Transformers line has been canceled: http://www.mightymuggsforum.com/showthread.php?t=3228

Sucks because the Jazz one looked really cool, but I don't see the Transformers line selling that great nor being too difficult to find. Sort of like the Joes are now.

there's also an ebay seller from asia right now with grimlock and starscream, if you wanna see boxed versions. nothing too fancy, but it shows that starscream's wings come packaged separately, with pegs to pop them into his back.

The wave got canceled meaning that the 4 figures that were chosen for the set got canned. There is going to be a wave 3 just unknown of what figures will be in it.

Also, Starscream will debut in Wave 2 with Grimlock, and a re-release of Optimus and Bumblebee.

Probably coming out sometime in Spring. But yeah, BBTS is notoriously ugly for shipping costs but they are really the best option out there for Muggs/buying toys online because of how they ship them and how they arrive in great shape. The base-cost of them are relatively low compared to other online retailers like BEC or EE even as well. The site is also really easy to cancel pre-orders from so you can cancel in a second if you see it pop up cheaper elsewhere, say on Star Wars Shop or something.

Off-topic: Anybody want to bet that the Serpentor Mugg is going to be a SDCC exclusive?

i always thought serpentor had a lot of kid-appeal, and would probably be a wave 3 mugg. unless hasbro really has their mind set on these as collector toys, not for kids. then it could happen.

i'm personally thinking we'll see a repeat of last year and iron man. we've got a wolverine movie, a gi joe movie AND a transformers movie all coming out this summer... and marvel, gi joe muggs and transformers muggs have all opted to go with a more traditional look. so i'm thinking we'll see 'movie versions' of optimus prime and duke and wolverine.

then star wars could be almost anything, but i'm personally hoping for a holographic... someone.

I asked a pretty cool Target employee about it and he said he would go to the back and look...I told him I was looking for a Snowtrooper and the red Shocktrooper. He went to the back and came out with both :shock:...he told me that they had a few more boxes in the back...I just wanted these two :bouncy:

I've checked both of my local Targets and all they had was more of the same stuff I've seen over the past 3-4 months, except Wave 1 of the GI Joes. Which I picked up a few weeks back. The sad thing is I check at least two times per week. :(
