Didn't see any Transformer muggs at the TRU in Tigard, OR. I did pick up Jigsaw (finally) for my brother. Now he's only missing Han Solo (original) and Chewbacca.

If anyone has those to trade, let me know what you're looking for. He has a sealed Punisher for trade He'll take new or opened, as long as they are in great condition. I can also look around for others to trade. I can usually find the newer Star Wars wave (Bossk, Teebo, Biggs, Snowtrooper, Scout Trooper) as well as some older ones (Hoth Solo, Palpatine, Tarkin, Helmetless Vader) and some re-releases (Cody, Rex).

Let me know. He's just 2 away from having the complete Marvel and Star Wars line!

That is really strange that TRU will be getting the exclusive mugg selling rights. When I first started collecting them that was the place to go, they were always getting new shipments. More recently however there have been absolutely none in the TRU around me but lots in Targets (which never used to have them) I know there have been lots of recent finds in Targets for other people too but does this rollercoaster of being well stocked and completely empty for weeks at a time at various retailers seem strange to anyone else?

You have a valid point, but still, I think I'd rather pay more if every store carried all the different lines of Muggs. I've called every TRU within 10 miles of my house and none of them carry Marvel Muggs (the only ones I collect), so I'll be boned if they don't have every store carry them.

People are freaking out about not being able to find them, but as the only place they're sold I would assume that the shelf space dedicated to them, as well as the variety at each store will also improve. Agreed! ON the other hand that's fine with me also it has become to much of an obsession with me lately. I was out of collecting (well figures of any kind) for some time until the muggs started.

the ONLY thing we can hope for (and this is a big hope) is that the muggs can survive through the rest of this year.

next year, hasbro won't be as aggressive with toys for the joe movie, transformers movie and wolverine movie. so if muggs can survive as exclusives or online-only through this product-packed time period, a low-cost line like muggs might be an easy thing for them to resurrect in stores.

but it's certainly more likely that muggs won't survive as exclusives or online-only product and nobody at hasbro will ever revisit them.

I got my Soundwave today from K-mart. They had an empty spot on the shelf tagged for Transformers MMs, but nothing was there. I finally realized they were probably too lazy to put the stock out they received, so I called them on it today.

Waited about 15 minutes after finally getting an employee at all, and he finally came out from the back with one of each in his hands. They're stocked on the shelf now, sans Soundwave :)

My MM quest is now complete at 3 for the foreseeable future unless I stumble upon a Venom.

I started out opening them as soon as I got them home, but I quickly ran out of room to display them in. Now, I stack the others like Unassuming does.

I have Thor, (My favorite Mugg) OG Captain America, Ghost Rider, and Wolverine out in the open while the others are trapped in their boxes.

If I were to toss all the Indy's up on eBay, what would be a good BIN price or expected selling price? If anybody can help I'd appreciate it. I was thinking maybe 65-70 shipped for all 8 of them.

That being said, I got lucky at HasbroToyShop. I managed to put in an order for all 8 of the new SW Muggs coming out and got them all as listed up, not out of stock. This is great because the shipping price is not extremely bloated like doing a separate order, or at BBTS, plus the SMILE8 code knocked off a good 8 bucks or so. Got them all under 100, roughly averaging to about 12 bucks a Mugg shipped, can't really beat that.

If you want 'em they're still in stock at the store as of 7:30 AM central time.

I just really hope it doesn't ship until May like it says, I really can't afford them at this time. What's interesting is that while they are two different waves, they are expected to be shipping out at the same date.

Star Wars Muggs have a Temporary Price Cut at $9.99; I think through 3/13.
I scanned a Marvel to see if it was Mugg-wide again but no-go.

My Target had the full cap at the registers like others have been spotting and a sign that said $10.99; the TPC signage was in the regular toy aisle.

Yesterday, I picked up Biggs, Teebo, Bossk, Snow Trooper and Shock Trooper. This was at the only Target in my area with the endcap full of MM. It seems like they restocked because last time I checked, they were out of the Snow Trooper, Teebo and Shock Trooper. Also, there was no sign of the TPC at the endcap or the regular aisle but they rang up $9.99. Thanks hellboypi.

Ugh, don't ever get muggs from UO.com either. Joes were on clearance for $4.99 each and I got 3 - the boxes aren't very good, they put huge stickers on the tops, and my storm shadow was opened and the sword was missing.

Hopefully they'll just take them back at Target, that's the whole reason I bought them anyway (since I already bought the muggs from Target, but it'll save me $7 to return them).

Not formally, but it seems all other major toy stores just don't bother updating/carrying Muggs anymore. My Walmart hasn't seen a new Marvel MM in over three months....same with the Target. You can still probably find Transformer muggs at a local comic/hobby shop, but outside of that, Toys R Us is your only B&M hope.

I've just started buying online. Odds are, the money you spend on shipping will more than make up for the the time/gas you would spend trying to find 'em.

When it comes to MMs, I think rarity depends on your area. I've only seen 3 Darth Revans, 1 Darth Maul (shirt-less) and 1 Black-suit Spidey in my area. I missed out on that Spiderman since I didn't know it would be hard to find.

Picked up Megatron at Target. I haven't had any luck finding Optimus Prime or Soundwave. I usually only see 2 or 3 Bumblebees, if they even have Transformers MM in stock.

Just bought a Galactus Mugg. Wow, he is easily the best of the Marvel Muggs. I think I am going to get a second so I can have one MIB and a second on my desk. Really, really awesome. Might might get a Spider-Man series one.

However I am a bit disappointed with the Surfer Mugg and decided to pass when I had a chance. Loads of Joes, Transformers and Star Wars Muggs in my area now.

I felt exactly the same way till I budged and bought it anyway ;).

His surf board is pretty cool though as it differentiates himself from the other accessory-less Muggs. Silver Surfer would have been infinitely better if he had the same shiny reflective finish as Destro's dome.

Thor and Venom are rare, and there are even more rare star wars muggs (boba and vader v1 are kinda rare, storm troopers are pretty rare, Lando, Leia, and Yoda are some of the rarest). Punisher was rare at first, but they've been pumping them out lately, so most TRUs have plenty now. Jigsaw is still kinda rare (since there's only 1 or 2 in each carton), but you can still find him much more easily than any of the other rare ones.

All the SDCCs are reasonably rare since they were only officially sold at SDCC and HasbroToyShop.com. Commander Gree and Fertility Idol SDCCs are easier to find though, then comes Peter Parker, and the rarest is Iron Man.

I bought a Darth Vader from Wal-Mart today.
Are there different Darth Vaders? It's the original design, not the maskless one.
I recall something about 2 or 4 eyes?

And I finally found Destro but it was either him or Fable II LE from Target.
I'll find him again.

The "2 eye" vader has a single white dot on each eye
The "4 eye" vader has two white dots on each eye (like the box)

not much difference imho to warrant the price - the 2 eye is rarer (first shipment) I did see a couple for $50 each at one of the booths @ Frank & Sons Collectibles show (LA Area)

I got my venom at borders and used a 40% off coupon when it was available and that was like a few months ago. I have yet to see venom anywhere else. Try using a coupon and get it for cheap.

I'm in Delaware (Home of tax free shopping) and saw the exact same amount as the above poster. 2 Starscream and 2 Grimlocks. Well now it's 1 Starscream and 1 Grimlock cause I bought one of each :)

Boo, no Wave 2 TFs here at the Wilsonville, OR store. All they had were a pair of Megatrons, and a Soundwave. They did have Captain Rex and C-3PO though for Star Wars, while just Hulk, Ironman, and Wolverine for Marvel, and Cobra Commander and Duke for Joe's.

Are the Transformer Muggs all relatively the same in terms of rarity? Is there one out of Wave 1 & wave 2 that's perpetually hard to find? I'm just curious because I don't see them all that often and I'm wondering which one seems the most popular or short packed at the moment.

Megatron seems least popular in my area as I see him around the most. I think Optimus Prime is most in demand (due to being the face of the franchise) andI don't see him around as much. But none are rare in terms of Venom-like rarity.

picked up Indiana Jones Ciaro Swordsman at Walmart for $3 on clearance Friday morning. Box is dinged up, but I don't care. Now I need an Indy to shoot him in the face. lol.

I would say shirtless Maul is pretty rare ... but then most of the Muggs in that wave are ... I kind of regret returning my Revan after I bought it.

I'm not sure about the rest of you, but the SW Muggs have been awful in the Bay Area literally all I see are Grand Moff Tarkin and Hoth Han ... and that's it. If anything, this is why Hasbro will limit the line to TRU and most likely eventually drop it. Way too many hit and miss figures that clog up the shelves and stop more in-demand figures from appearing.

That's like the kiss of death for action figure lines, when the same unwanted figures build up over time until literally their section is a selection of 1 or 2 figures.

Actually had a 40% off coupon but still didn't want it. Just like the Spider-Man ones, Venom doesn't look good. The Custom Mugg of Venom on the other hand is absolute cool.

Finally picked up Optimus Prime on Tuesday. I'll keep an eye out for wave 2. Linkin Prime is also in Socal so, hopefully, I'll start seeing these in my Targets.

In my area, Megatron is harder to find (behind OP and SW) and there seems to be an abundance of Bumble Bees. So I think "rareness" depends on the area, for some reason.

I'll probably return them in a week or 2...

Well this is my first post here, as I'm new to the whole Muggs phenomenon. I picked up one for my wife for Christmas because I thought it looked adorable, and I knew she would like it... it's Henry Jones Jr. from the Indiana Jones line, and it turns out it's quite rare! Heh... I got it at Gabriel Brothers (or just Gabe's).. don't know if there are many of those stores around except here in eastern PA.. but it was $8 I believe.

Since then (in the past few days), I've picked up several on clearance at K-Marts for around $4.20 to $7.20 depending on the level of clearance that K-Mart was at. Only clearance ones I've seen are the Indiana Jones line (Indy, Mola Ram, Cairo Swordsman, etc.)...

I've been doing a ton of research tonight in terms of the rarer Muggs and such.. it's exciting stuff.. although it's sad to hear they are becoming TRU exclusive.. that blows.

I'm going to have to go to a k-mart tomorrow.. because I'm positive I saw a Lando and original Han there yesterday.. and the Lando seems to be in demand. I vaguely remember seeing a Venom in the past few days, problem is, I've been to so many Kmarts and Targets...
