It's $19.99 and currently live.
And like the last Lightning deal I jumped on, the Gold Box discount is being applied before the total, so it doesn't qualify for Super Saver Shipping without $5.01 of filler. :wall:

Actually, it does.
I jumped in this deal. The cart said $5.01 more for free shipping. However, when you checked out all the way, the free shipping would apply. That's because the gold box discount was a $25 coupon that was applied to the $44.99 order ( > $25).

I think Amazon's playing around with how it's doing its Gold Box discounts, and seeing what works best. :wall:

Was it a DOTD type of gold box deal? DOTD god box item has the discount already applied to the item for the day. There's no coupon involved. Say, if the Naruto movie appeared as a DOTD instead, the item price would have been $19.99 and you would have to throw in a filler.
Lightning deals are different. You have to 'claim' it first, which essentially adds a specific coupon to your account. The item is added to your cart at the regular price, and that's the price that you get when you checkout, but the coupon would be applied at the end of checkout in order to reduce it to the lightning deal price.
