I'm looking for a reasonably priced Verizon wireless phone that I can get that plays MP3s. I'm not interested in text messaging or internet on the phone. I also don't want to sign a new contract. Any suggestions?

I work for VZW, and the best thing that I can say is to look around eBay. You can only get a decent phone price with a new 2-year contract. For example, you can get the LG Voyager for $99.99 with a 2 year contract, or buy it at retail price for $409.

Good luck in your findings. Also, if you need accessories, PM me...I can get them for 50% off

My other word of advise when dealing with Verizon is to always order phones over the web. While you may get a free upgrade to a much nicer phone on their website, the same phone will cost you a lot more $$ if you want into their retail stores.

I got my verizon phone for free on buy.com. Not sure if they still have free phones, but its worth a look.

it depends on how you think about it...getting a phone online means they are taking the mail in rebate instantly, so in the long run, you're getting it for the same price

I have one also and it's okay.. I need a phone that has a keyboard built in. Like the sidekick slide by T-Mobile. I text a lot that's why. Overall the Chocolate isn't bad! I wouldn't recommend it though.

Breaking Customs, do you know anything about the HTC Touch Pro that Verizon will be carrying? I just saw a mention that it's going to be called the "Raphael" for the Verizon network ... that's the phone I'm waiting for. I'm hoping they'll be announcing a release date sometime soon for the phone since I can "new every 2" starting in September.

The voyager is pretty good... has some quarks though. Be sure to pick up the extended battery for this if you plan on watching video on it as it will drain your battery like crazy.
