Hey all, I used to use amazon.com for many of my shopping needs. Right now I would really like to buy an Xbox 360 ($300.00) because of the price drop. However, since June 1st amazon.com now charges sales tax to NY state residents (8.725%) due to an unconstitutional law that NY state has imposed on amazon. Are there any other reliable web sites that don't charge sales tax?

I'm pretty sure tax is charged by state. So if NY has sales tax, all orders shipped to NY should as well. Unless it's a small independently run site I highly doubt you'll find a tax free site.

Your only (semi) reputable option would be from an eBay seller not in your state.

If you live in NY, you are screwed by that unconstitutional law. Amazon is following it, probably everyone else is too.... its a law.

[edit] okay, you are screwed if any of the websites have a retail (or affiliate) location in NY. That considered, I still think you are screwed, because I can't think of anyone else to help. Drive to NH, there is no sales tax here at anytime.
