God damn all these fucking pop up bastards to hell!!
/rant
I need a good, free spyware remover (AdAware is so not cutting it), preferably as a DL.
Please help me, as I'm starting to lose my mind!

if it's just pop-ups that bother you while browsing the web, check out firefox. I've yet to have a pop-up since I started using it.

Or better yet, ditch IE and go use Firefox. Since I've used firefox, I've found only 1 piece of spyware in my last 8-9 scans between AdAware and Spybot.

Spybot won't cut down popups, but it is good for removing spyware. You need a new browser, like Avant, which i use, and i hear that Firefox is good as well. But you still get the flash pop-ups, which i can't stand but i don't think there is anyway to get rid of those.

If you use the adblock extension with firefox you should be able to get rid of flash popups too.

Does anyone here use Firefox that has used Avant? I am currently using Avant and don't want to go through the trouble of switching browsers if it isn't worth it, but i hear all kinds of great things about Firefox.

I used avant for a week (was using opera which I really liked) but I've never been as pleased as the change from opera/IE to firefox... never had a blue screen, never had a shutdown...Highly recommend it..

Opera's not free, but it is the best web browser by far (IMHO).

buy a mac and turn on the pop up blocker bulit into OS X. you will never see a pop up. or for free you could download firefox which I heard was good as well.

I use a combination of AdAware and Spybot for spyware. I haven't had any detections in about two months now.
As for a browser, Firefox is the way to go. Get the adblock extension and you've got one hell of a browser.

I loved Advant. Firefox is just as good though. It imports all your favorites, cookies, etc. so switching isn't more of a hassle than downloading it and installing.

Download firefox now.
Not only are there no popups, the pages load faster than IE.
One minor drawback, learning to SINGLE-click on pages in the history bar, otherwise the quicklinks pop up instead.
