OPM Oct magazine to have 40 (!!!) different Def Jam NY covers

I heard of multiple covers but good God, 40?! No way I'm gonna be able to collect them all... I know I try to get in on multiple magazine covers but this is a little excessive, even for me... $10 a mag times 40 covers equals HELL NO!!! Hopefully all the covers get out there, unlike PSM's major snafu of the FFVIII multi covers where one of the two covers was printed for every single issue that run while the other didn't...

Woah! They plan on releasing forty different covers? Geez, that's a weird way to make a profit, but there are those who would buy all forty covers. Why? I don't know, as they would really have no collectors value.

This is a scavenger hunters dream. There aren't going to be many of each cover, so it's going to be hard as hell to find others.

this is why you get to know your local retailer, for just this occasion, I don't plan on getting these mags but i could hit up some Gamestops and they usually just give me the mags for free. They don't keep inventory on these mags so they will sometimes give them away.

im not sure if your hinting at somthing illegal here.. but stores will rarely give our magazine.. my bro works at joe mugs and every week they have to rip off the covers of all unsold magazines.. they ship these back to the publishers and get credit for onsold mags.. but sending in the COVERS is the only way for them to get the credit..

no nothing illiegal, just I know some stores don't send their magazines back. Most retail chains have a company who fills racks and replaces them weekly and they do send them back for credit but some don't. So getting to know the employees can come in handy so they might throw a few in for reserving a game or buying something before they trash them.

I know a guy who worked at Borders. He said the store tore off the magazine covers to send in for credit and left the magazines in boxes near the trash in the back waiting for pick-up. Everyone at the end of the month just went over and took what they wanted.

A store giving away magazines at the end of the month could happen.

no casey. It does have a star wars demo that is supposed to be just aswome. I know there is no mgs demo though. Every was all big on the one at gs and that one was shot down.

actually one of the guys from 1up.com had an early OPM disc with the MGS3 demo on it. I guess they dumped the demo
