I Hate my bank

ok i had a cc payment of 500 bucks and i sent the check in and called up the bank friday and moved 550 from saving to checking right

well get a letter in the mail today you didnt have enough money in your account friday to pay the 550 so your getting hit with a 25 buck fee


So come monday im going down there pulling my 28K and laugh in their face

really its a credit union (but i hate banks too case they did it to me onde at a bank too)

Did u get a name of the person who did the transfer? Its useful to obtain those. Also ask for a statement.

If you sent the check in friday and you got the letter saturday thats some fast mail. So my guess is you sent the check in earlier in the week and waited til friday to transfer the money. If you got the letter saturday they probably mailed it late thursday, maening you were late trasnferring your cash. Sounds like your fault.

He hads 28K in a savings. He sent in his check to be taken out of his checking. He sent his check in tuesday and transferred his money friday. Reason it bounced is because he didn't transfer his money in time. His fault, not the banks.

i went crazy when they said you can have as many sub accounts u want

I got checking account, savings account, savings account 2 xmas club and a few other accounts

i had 300 in checking
i had 400 in saving 1
and 28k in saving 2


i dont go to the bank i do it all by phone i move money from saveing 2 to checking

i only had 300 in checking so the 550 check didnt clear they took 250 out of savings 1 to clear it and got hit with the 25 buck fee

i think what happen was they pushed it though friday morning at 8am well the bank dont open till 830 when i moved the cash so they didnt think i had the cash

i will probally get the 25 back its just a pain in the butt

i will get it back one way or another if they dont i say i move my money that is usually when a bank will cave in 25 bucks isnt much to a bank when they got to transfer 28k

Dude, you have that much money in that credit union and they don't offer you free overdraft protection?
My bank gives me that service for free as long as I keep my savings account over the required balance.
I'm sure if you bitch to the credit union that they will reverse the fee if you are really keeping that much money with them.

I love my bank. USAA. They dont charge for anything. I get free ATM transactions at any ATM. Free checking, free overdraft, and never get charged fees for anything.

Smae here at Associated Bank. To the OP you do realize it takes a few days for a transfer to go through and you have the money to withdrawl right..... :?

I'm of the opinion that banks are set up to try and screw you. I mean, they make money every time they do, so why wouldn't they make an effort.

Also why does it take two, sometimes three days for a deposit to register on my account when I take it too my bank, but a withdrawal is shown in minutes no matter where I'm at? That always annoys me.

Since my main bank USAA is mainly located in TX, I get a local bank I use US Bank. They are pretty godd with deposits showing up fast.
