Played some more FFX , as well as finally starting on Phantom Hourglass , something I said I was going to start doing almost three weeks ago before being sidetracked with Kirby , again , this time Nightmare in Dreamland , even though I just beat the same game a few weeks ago on the VC.

Got up to the second time through the Ocean King temple in Zelda before I died , then quit. Just finished the Djose temple in FFX.

Maybe I'll also throw in a little more braid tonight as well.

About how many hours on average does it take to beat?

Hmmm , it's been quite a while since I played it last , but going from memory I'm going to say somewhere between 25-50 hours maybe. For a first time through expect it to lean closer to 50 of course. How much you grind and whether you go on any sidequests will of course make a big difference.

I'll will say that you may will probalby want to do some grinding near the beginning and end of chapter 1. Personally I think the first chapter is still the hardest in the game , mainly due to your party being kinda weak.

If you ever end up needing help on any battles , or just looking for general advice feel free to shoot me a pm.

Fact: Tropic Thunder was a fantastic movie. It was a comedy that was actually funny. Pineapple Express, but without Seth Rogan's stupid face and with jokes. Even Jack Black was funny in this movie. For fuck's sake! I'm glad that comedic delivery isn't entirely dead, because Ben Stiller and Co. clearly get what so few others do.

So yeah, go see it. If you like funny things, well, this movie was actually funny.

Finally got that password situation resolved. Bionic Commando Rearmed is so good, it's so much fun swinging and the weapon variety is great, the writing is awesome, I love the super saturated color tones, bosses are fun, music is perfection.

I'm motherfucking sore after helping my friends move all their shit out of their apartment last night. The highlights were a shit ton of books and a 34" Sony Wega HDTV that weighs 190 pounds. All had to be moved down a flight of stairs.

Plus when we went and dropped off the U Haul, my friend forgot his car keys so our asses had to walk almost 3 miles back to their old apartment to get them. We started moving at noon and didn't finish until 3 am. So I didn't get to play shit alll day.

I did get a free laptop for my troubles, my friend's old Dell that he doesn't want anymore. It has a Core 2 Duo 2 Ghz Dell with 1 GB RAM and a 128 MB X1400 GPU. It needs a new battery, but you can't beat free. ;)

I played the Bioshock demo today. Graphics are very impressive and the production qualities are high. I'm not a big fan of its combat style though. I'm more of a Blue Dragon/Eternal Sonota fan, so I'll probably pass on the game. I definitely liked it more than I thought.

I bought MGS Portable Ops today (rented once before), but haven't started playing it yet.

I went a little old-school today, playing FFIV and Secret of Mana. Two of my favorite games of all time. :)
It's nice when I can beat a game I paid $17.99 for in under 2 hours and not feel like I wasted my money. TMNT for the GBA is an excellent throwback to the arcade game. Definitely keeping that one on my shelf.
Now I remember why I quit playing The Suffering: Ties That Bind the first time. You're playing, everything is good, and then suddenly it gets RIDICULOUSLY hard. I should have started the game on easy.

I'm motherfucking sore after helping my friends move all their shit out of their apartment last night. The highlights were a shit ton of books and a 34" Sony Wega HDTV that weighs 190 pounds. All had to be moved down a flight of stairs.

Plus when we went and dropped off the U Haul, my friend forgot his car keys so our asses had to walk almost 3 miles back to their old apartment to get them. We started moving at noon and didn't finish until 3 am. So I didn't get to play shit alll day.

I did get a free laptop for my troubles, my friend's old Dell that he doesn't want anymore. It has a Core 2 Duo 2 Ghz Dell with 1 GB RAM and a 128 MB X1400 GPU. It needs a new battery, but you can't beat free. ;)

A few weeks ago, our living room SDTV finally kicked the bucket (we were going to buy an HD that weekend anyway, it's the one I was having the image-fitting issues with), so we had to move it out of the living room, then move the 30-something inch SDTV from upstairs down the narrow staircase ever made. All after running and working out earlier in the day.

I took a shower and went to bed, my body had been pwnt.

This coming week is going to be to be Gaming Sex----I'm picking up Bioshock, Jeanne D'arc, Castlvania: Portrait of Ruin (now at 20 bucks), Crush, and Golden Sun for GBA (eight bucks, never played it before).

This post is weird, because not only did I never buy Golden Sun (I know, failure), I don't remember Portrait of Ruin being a premeditated purchase...I remember just seeing when I stopped by FYE on the way out of the Mall after picking up my Bioshock LE. Weird.

Fun fact? Of all the games in that post, I've only finished Bioshock.

So I finished Star Force's main story; now I'm finishing up the SP bosses, collecting missing cards, etc. etc. I'm also enjoying Kameo (thanks, Live Search Club!). I haven't been playing as much Tales of the World, and I'd like to; after this week, my time will be surely be split between Jeanne D'arc, Bioshock, and that other thing....what was it called? Oy, yeah, school.

Man, Star Force 1 was so much better than the sequel; 2007 Me was willing to put in the time to collect everything, even with Jeanne D'arc and Bioshock to play. 2008 Me couldn't wait to finish SF2.

Also, Tales of the World? Haven't touched it in at least six months.

So I wasn't going to able to pick up Bioshock until Friday, and thus I was going to finish up Splinter Cell DA and some other previous-gen games. Now I'm probably going to get it tommorrow, so...nevermind.

Tonight, probably Kameo.

Once again, still haven't finished Kameo or Splinter Cell DA (though I got to the final boss! He's a dickrabbit.)

Yeah, the old GGTs were a lot slower than they are today. Just shows how much we've all come together and are more comfortable with one another I guess. I did notice that the biggest majority of the old posts were mainly "What I'm playing now" kind of posts as opposed to just general gaming. Also, there's a bunch of people who don't come into the GGT anymore, and a bunch of new faces that have become regulars since then.

I know I usually just posted maybe once or twice per GGT.

Good. Just played my first ranked match. Lost to a kilik, guy was really good for a 1 rank lol. I managed to almost kill him each round but he was to good for me. Didn't spam or be annoying at all though, other than his mic chatter.

I love how you can hold down square when you get knocked down and come up with a charged attack.

Played a bunch of BCR. Some parts in that game are tough! I do like the challenge, but sometimes I get so frustrated that I have to just walk away for a little while. The retro music is pure awesome. I also played the 1942 demo and had some fun with that.

With Bionic Commando, Street Fighter II and IV, Mega Man 9, RE:5, and even Dark Void Capcom has officially become my favorite dev. They really seem to be kicking ass this gen.

And last night I had the best Chicago-style pizza I have eaten in years. It was sooo good. The crust was absolutely perfect. Got a couple slices left for lunch today too!

well, I now have an art studio space to work on and store all my art! yay! I'm sharing it with two other good friends who are artists who do alot of video work like I do. Next week we will be building a sound studio within it. It's genna be hella sweet. It's a super nice view (10th floor up in a swanky miami building) and we're genna sex it up with some nice artwork.

I'm just curious if they just threw a new heat sink in or replaced the MB or what.

Pretty much the typical session for me. Have fun for a while, then get stuck on a mission and quit after getting tired of driving all the way across fucking town over and over again every time I die.

I'd really like to repeatedly kick the Rockstar employee who thought not having checkpoints was a good idea in the nuts. Totally spoiling another wise great game, not even sure I'll have the patience to finish it. Maybe I should just look up a faq so I can just stick the story missions rather than getting frustrated on optional missions.

Well...the other gtas were worse. You started off at your last savepoint if you loaded, a not-so-nearby hospital if you died and a police station if you were busted - all leading to the mission start location, then the actual mission (so they sorta gave us a break this time ;)).

As for missions, to complete the story I'm pretty sure you have to do them all. Where you at now?

Use the cabs to get across town, especially in missions. Pay the money to skip directly to your destination.

Spent a couple of hours playing Fable II Pub games, I don't think I'd reccomend it to anyone, even someone who was getting fable II.

It's just not a lot of fun to play, and the games seemed to be stacked against you so that apart from the glitch, you'll always end up in debt.
