Surprise surprise!!! I open the Sunday paper today and it has an ad for Frys and I'm like 'huh?' but it's true, Duluth GA is getting a Fry's location which opens on Sunday 8/29... they have Soul Calibur II for GC for $9.99... Prince of Persia for PS2 for $12.99... Sims Busting Out, LOTR: ROTK for PS2 for $12.99... I am SO there!!! Finally I can get in on those awesome deals posted by others from Fry's in my own city... joy... :-)

I remember when the Fry's in my area opened. There was a line outside that curved around to the back of the building --- and that was when I checked in the evening on a Sunday.

Fry's regular prices are nothing special. Their sale prices however are usually better than CC, Bestbuy, TRU and Compusa.

Its good to check the sales every weekend.

I remember when the Incredible Universe on I-20 near the PArks Mall became a Fry's. That was a really long time ago

on a side note, one of the biggest technological centers on the East Coast needs a Fry's.

I remember when my Incredible Universe became a Fry's too, IU was really cool when I went, but I was also a little kid then, they had tons of demo units for SNES and Genisis.

what are the non CA fry's "Theme" ? I've been to one that is like an factory with boilier room pipes all over the place, and I've been to one that has a space shuttle in it.

The Fry's near me doesn't really have a "theme". It's just basically a generic, brightly-lite Fry's. =P

I just wish the ones in LA County were open 24 hours like the original San Jose store, the one painted to look like a huge DIP chip. I remeber falling in love with it and having to wait years for the first local store. "Local' is a very relative terms here since it's a bit south of LAX, which before Fry's was a destination I needed some coaxing or bribery to trek out to. Now the UFO theme store in Burbank is less than 20 minutes away if traffic is light.
