Picked up BC:R today, I sort of regretted it at first but it's really grown on me, you get a hell of a lot of content for $10.

I think I'm done with Bully especially as it appears to have done me out of a couple of achievements.

I think I'll play through DarkSector next.

I like the interface better, I like not having to sign in and choose my storage location every time I start a game, I like having cheaper downloadable games due to gamesharing, and I like the controller better. I would buy 90 percent of my games for it if it's online community was as big as the 360's.

Speaking of movies , I just watched waitress the other day from Netflix. They were supposed to send me Hellboy but my queue got mixed up. Movie was much better than I expected it to be. Just got Superbad in the mail yesterday (which was again supposed to be hellboy:wall:) and will probably watch that tomorrow.

What do you consider completion in GW2? I mean with SSHD, you at least can "finish" planets... in GW2, there's no end ever, except in deadline.Pretty much when I get sick of playing it... or set some arbitrary score goals, like my million score goal for GW1, which I'm pretty sure I never got to. Anyone enjoying Madden 09? I'm 1/2 thinking about getting it as the demo seems to hint at a better control scheme than what they had before (I've not really played Madden since, probably, 06 or so). But, I don't want to spend more than $40 on it so I'll probably just hang tight for a bit.

I've never played Rhapsody, so I'm just vaguely interested in the DS remake. It'll be interesting to see if it turns out better received than the original. The PSX game can still be found at a couple online retailers like GameExpress (http://www.gameexpress.com/product_detail.cfm?UPC=730865520183&Section=RPG), and it does include the soundtrack.

I'm slowly making my way thru BCR. I've just gotten a little over halfway to the end. Its still awesome.

You can use the Analog stick, don't get me wrong. I just find it a bit inaccurate, I think a decent dpad would be better.

I reckon the Dpad on the D3 is better than the one on the 360 pad, so when people have the choice I can understand them getting the PS3 version.

Don't get me wrong. I like d-pad. I do. I love it for fighting games and refuse to use the analog stick. But with BCR, I'm not really having trouble using the 360's analog stick... i'm only forced to the d-pad on the area map when I want to take a diagonal route.

I finally got my hands on some BCR...its sweet. It's such a nice upgrade and a remake done right.

On a side note:

I was watching I think the 1up show where they were talking about Bionic Commando Rearmed and they kept saying how hard the original BC was and they were talking about not having a health bar. I guess maybe I played a lot of the original but the health bar built up as you collected enough canisters and continues were had by defeating the trucks that stopped you en route to your areas. With all of that I never found the original BC that difficult. Did anyone find it hard back in the day or did they just not play it?

I'm having trouble evolving some of my TWEWY pins. Like, I get them fully leveled, but they still say "this pin can evolve" as opposed to "this pin can not evolve." At the moment, I forget which ones though. I do remember that the yen pins all say they can evolve, but is that just for tin pin?
Pins can evolve in 3 ways: Battle EXP, Roaming EXP, and Sleep EXP. (I forget the official terms.) Certain pins need certain EXP to evolve; there's a wiki somewhere that lists them all.

I remember that there was one pin that evolves into something mega strong if you use the right EXP but turns into like, 5 yen if you use the wrong one. =)

Yeah, that's odd. Mines from June 2006 and is still going strong (as is my DS Phat from launch which my girlfriend has now). But I've not used mine much since late 2006/ early 2007 as there haven't been many games out that have interested me since then.

I'd just call up Nintendo, their customer service is generally very good about fixing/replacing broken hardware for cheap or free even outside of the 1 year warranty.

I'd certainly call Ninty chac. My white ds lite has had the hinge crack twice (which they're only supposed to fix it the first time) and they fixed them both for free, gave me brand new 1 year warranties after each repair and even offered to replace the ds with a brand new one free of charge if it wasn't fixable. Yeah, I agree with Chac. The reviewer started with, "Too Human is not a good RPG", but he never directly explained why. I suppose we are to assume that a broken class and lewt system is the end all be all of what makes an RPG good.

Played through the too human demo, took me about 45 minutes.
Regardless of if that C- review is accurate it seems about right...I'd say low level 80's is the highest for this game.

Anyways, in terms of the demo (no spoilers, just rambling): I played as Balder and I thought the camera was pretty wonky (even though I'm too used to using the other analog...not lb), it seemed like there were limited weapons (couple melee, a couple guns - the plasma upgrade was worse than the starting weapon haha), but I did like the feel of the story. Normally I don't even like action rpgs (expection is fable) but this wasn't that bad...even fun at times.

Anyways, started Call of Duty 2 today and that game is fun. Not sorta fun like the TH Demo...actually fun, and challenging. Like it's beyond me how people can beat the game on veteran, challenging. 4 missions of that are done, guess I'll need to invest in Cod4 and live sometime soon...

In the meantime though, I keep playing the Alien Hominid demo on 360 to hype myself up for Castle Crashers. I think it was 2 summers ago when I beat the full game but man, it's kicking my ass now. Took me 3 times through to beat the demo. ...as soon as I found that you could charge the gun lol

I have a feeling that Rock Band will dominate again though, especially now that it's a household name. If the guitar works well this time, and the drums really are improved, it's likely to be the best music game yet.

Not sure how well these cymbal add on's will work.

Also, The Mighty Mighty Bosstones. Not my favorite, but it's still nice to see a little ska in rock band.

I'm starting to wonder if telling everyone you're planning a game trilogy before the first game is released is the kiss of death. Advent Rising was supposed to be a trilogy, and we know how that turned out. Too Human looks to be following in it's footsteps. Mass Effect did well, but Bioware is a different story.

I don't hate Halflife, but I find it the series as a whole to be extremely overrated. When it's good, it's amazing, but when it's bad it's downright horrible. I swear it has some of the worst pacing known to 3D gaming, and the platforming is awkward at best. It's great when it comes to overall immersion though, but I just feel that the gameplay has a lot of good ideas that aren't well executed.

Portal on the other hand I believe deserved all the hype it got from a gameplay perspective. Completely fresh ideas that are well realized and brilliantly executed. Although I think the story and humor were a bit overrated, but that's not to say that aspect of the game wasn't well done.

yeah, in terms of gameplay Portal mainly was there presenting a new concept. that's what made it unique. I think what really propelled it though was the humor and design more. Still I wish I could like it.

Don't. Play the first and second GoW games twice over. CoO is such a huge disappointment. I beat it in 4 hours, first try no guides. If you can get a good price on the PSP, that game and there are other games and things you want to do with the PSP, get one. If you only plan on getting it mostly for CoO, you will be pissed. I promise. 4 hours. Not even 4 hours actually.

I think the DOA system is fine, but I really don't like a forced guessing game where your only option to avoid damage is to participate in the guessing game with a super high risk. I just don't like the damage scaling for the throws/reversals. Nor do I like the fact that command throws can't be broken.

To me, the reverals aren't satisfying in DOA, the hi-counter throws are.
