Happen to be grocery shopping and noticed carts n carts of DVDs in the now empty shelved Rental Dept.

Bought 6 $9.99 Blus

National Treasure 2
Juno special edition
Rambo special edition
Waterhorse
Fool's Gold
the other Boleyn girl

Left about 5 scary titled blus

Reduction took place yesterday.

Any regular Disneys worth $9.99? If so, I may go back and check

This is a small/older store

You might want to call first as it appears somewhat YMMV...

yeah my local Dillons (Part of the Kroger Family) closed their video dept about 3 weeks ago. Picked up a ton of DVD's during the final 2 days, didn't pay more than 2.50 per dvd. Not much left at the 75% off point though, but if i was even remotely interested in the title i picked it up. My local didn't have any Blu's when i went, but that was way into the sale.

My Kroger stopped renting around 2001.

It's been awhile since the krogers in my area did video rentals. They pretty much stopped doing it around '97 when DVDs started catching on w/ consumers. Also didn't help that there was usually a Hollywood Video or Blockbuster near the stores either.

Now all the kroger stores in the area have those Redbox kiosks in the shopping cart area.
