I want to blame the new Gamestop banner, but it could be the server. It's taking me about 10 seconds to load a page on two different ISPs, (two computers, too!)

There seems to be an issue with the pages not loading completely/properly that is unrelated to the ads.
However, it doesn't seem to affect page loading time for me (on firefox 3.0). What browser are you using?

I'm using FF 3.0.1;and IE 7.0.5730.13 (!)
It seems like at the bottom of the page the site slows loading pixel.qauntserve.com

Slow on my end, I'm in NY using Optimum Online Cable (standard) with FF 3.0.1

The gamestop ad is killing performance on my cheapass pc(firefox 3). Whenever the ad is on the screen, CPU load goes from 6% to 100%. Scroll the ad off the screen and CPU usage goes back to normal. I've also noticed ads like this recently on metacritic and just chalked it up to invasive advertising. Mouse scroll wheel won't work or works verrry slow till ad is off the screen.

You are absolutely correct. There is something wrong with those new GameStop ads and I will pull them out of rotation immediately.
I guess I am spoiled running a pretty new iMac that can handle most anything (except games). I tested the ads and they definitely are using way too many cpu resources.
My apologies and thanks for the heads up.

Yea, the site was running slow for me at about 2 PM yesterday. It was the Gamestop ad about the edge card, wierd.

I noticed it wasn't loading for me yesterday and I had Firefox 3. Though if I refreshed the page, usually it was fine. I thin kbesides G4's The Feed (whenever I click Read More I usually have to wait 5mins to read it), this is probably the only other site I had trouble with lately (I'm running Comcast High Speed Internet and have a pretty decent computer)
