I agree with you, Trakan. Mega Man X (X1-X3 for the SNES) is perhaps one of the greatest set of games ever made. The first X will be easy to find, as many copies of it were made. Good luck finding X2 or X3, as they are quite rare and expensive (Last time I checked, they went for $50+ each).

Also, here are some games I recommend for the SNES:

Super Mario Kart
Super Mario RPG (Another one for those rare games, good luck)
Legend of Zelda: A Link to the Past (or you can get the GBA version)
Super Metroid
Super Mario All-Stars + Super Mario World (Maybe tough to find)
Donkey Kong Country (Any of them would work)
Street Fighter II (or get the Anniversary Collection when it comes out)

and of course...

Mega Man X
Mega Man X2
Mega Man X3
