Frequent Shopper Customer Support

Dear Frequent Shopper:
We are committed to providing the best possible experience for you and every other member of the Frequent Shopper community. Please be aware that we regularly review all activity and have a set of criteria by which invalid activity is easily identified. When we find this type of behavior, we cancel any prize orders or credit accruals made by that account, based on the Microsoft Terms and Conditions (http://frequentshopper.msn.com/Support/TermsAndConditions.htm). Here at Frequent Shopper, we have made every effort to ensure that those who violate the rules will be denied all the benefits to which the rest of the community is entitled.
If you've experienced an issue that you'd like help with, scroll down the page and you'll find a list of troubleshooting questions and answers. Our content is constantly changing, so keep checking in to see our latest offers, games and activities and earn more credits toward the prizes you want.
Getting Started

In order to earn credits via the Frequent Shopper program, you must have a Windows Live ID account and a Frequent Shopper Nickname. Follow these simple steps to get started:

Click on My Shopping Account from the left hand menu.
Click on Sign In.
If you do not have a Windows Live ID Account, click the Sign Up Now button, and follow the steps accordingly. Otherwise, enter your E-mail address and Password and click the Sign In button.
Create a "Nickname" for your Frequent Shopper account (Note: Your "Nickname" will be displayed whenever you are signed in to Frequent Shopper and can't be changed once you leave this page.)
Choose a "Display Image." This will appear when you are signed in to Frequent Shopper.
Take the Survey. The survey is used to identify your personality type so that we can customize the Frequent Shopper experience according to your interests.
Read the Frequent Shopper Terms and Conditions (http://frequentshopper.msn.com/Support/TermsAndConditions.htm) and select "I Accept" if you agree to the terms and conditions.
Click the Submit button to complete your account set-up.

You are now ready to begin participating in the Frequent Shopper and earning credits to redeem towards free prizes.
Windows Live ID

A Windows Live ID is free and allows you to sign in on any site that displays Microsoft Passport Network or Windows Live ID. For more information and to create an account, go to: http://get.live.com/getlive/overview
If you already have a Windows Live ID but have forgotten your password, go to the Windows Live ID sign in screen at: http://login.live.com (http://login.live.com/) and click on the "Forgot your password?" link.
The Activities

To learn how to play a game, select the Rules button on the main page of the selected game and a pop-up window will display detailed instructions on how to play.
You don't have to be signed in to participate, but you must be signed in to earn credits and redeem prizes.
Earning Credits and Rewards

Credits are earned through playing games and other activities on the site. Each time you play a game or engage in any of the other activities listed, you will earn credits. If you are signed in, credits will be automatically deposited in your account when you finish an activity. If you are not signed in, credits will accumulate as you complete a game or activity.
Rewards will display the number of credits required to redeem a given prize and will provide a Get It! button if you have enough credits to redeem it. If you don't have enough credits to redeem a particular prize, the Play and Win! button will be displayed.
Note: As indicated in the Terms and Conditions, prizes can only be delivered to a valid physical address in the 50 United States and District of Columbia and cannot be delivered to a post office box.
Daily Credit Limit

You can earn credits through game play and activities up to the daily credit limit. Once you have exceeded this limit, you can continue to participate but won't earn credits again until the following day. Thanks. At 150 credits a day, some of this stuff is crazy to get. Rock band on lsc would take 25 days to get maxing out everyday, while rock band over here would take you 50 day!

The games seem really easy though. I mean you have to rate products if they are hot or not and you can get 5 credits from that/ 50 credits max each day. This shouldn't be to hard to max out everyday in under an hour.

The comparable prizes are better to get at club live.

Item Name Club Live Frequent Shopper
Controller 6 days 20 days
mouse 4 days 20 days
rock band 25 days 75 days
mixer 31 days 100 days

It might be less time per day, but I can hammer out flexicon puzzles while watching tv, so I don't mind. However, some of the other stuff, like a GPS, is tempting.

Toothpick
08-30-2008, 03:25 AM
Those are better prizes but at 100 per day, its gonna take a while to get to most of them. The simplest thing I might try is to visit the site daily to do the "spin the wheel" and "the hot list" game. Takes little effort and I might get something after a few months or so..

xD

also that "submit coupon" game installs something for your browser? Couldn't you simply submit some BS text from anywhere anyday? not sure..

Nice find, rock band 1 here I come! I wish the image scrabble would give you the complete image before you started for medium/hard difficulty. On easy it's not that bad, just a matter of time. I solved 5 in about 20 minutes, and I'm a terrible visual person. But with the additional pieces, medium/hard seem rather difficult.

how do you earn points here? i got 10 points from the hot list, 30 points from the wheel spin and 100 points for signing up. that unscramble the picture thing is too hard and doesnt even give enough points

VioletArrows
08-30-2008, 11:09 AM
Those are pretty much it. Even though some of the prizes are better, it's not worth the aggravation of trying to solve those puzzles for a couple of points a day. Even if I am decent at them (solve easy in 1 minutes, medium in about 5 minutes), hard isn't worth the time as you could solve more easy or medium puzzles in the same time frame to solve a hard one.

EDIT: Never mind, just timed myself. About 3 minutes for a medium puzzle. Maybe I was just tired last night. XP

OH MY GOD!!!!! THEY HAVE THE FLAMELESS LED VOTIVE CANDLES!!

I've been looking for these everywhere!!! -Grinds like crazy to 500 credits-
Boo at the 100 limit per day..

Prizes are not for resale. Microsoft may limit the quantity of credits or prizes per person or per household. Each household may receive a maximum quantity of one of each prize item over a 180-day period and a maximum quantity of ten prizes over the life of the Program. The value of your prizes in a calendar year may not exceed U.S. $500.

Cool prizes even if its hard to get points.

I'll probably just do the spin the wheel and hot list each day. The puzzle is to hard. I used to be good at those but I can't get these.

Heres hoping that they add different ways to earn points.

supraazn
08-31-2008, 01:10 AM
Ok for people that complaining about the puzzle.
I use to have a sh*t load of trouble with those things as well until i was told the trick to them.
Honestly the 3x3 puzzle are insanely easy more of a chore than a puzzle.
There's no puzzle to it nor is it random, you can use a simple step method and get it each and every time.
Takes me 30sec or so to do one, if those damn hints don't get in the way that is.
I recommending on doing all 3x3 easy ones for the 60 pts because its overall faster per points.
The method works on all size puzzle i guess but bigger is just a bigger pain.

Now i'm writing this guide myself right now from the top of my head so i'll try to make it easy as possible sorry if it gets confusing or something.
_________________________________________
Number are the piece you are focusing on and they correspond to the place its suppose to be when finished
1 2 3
4 5 6
7 8 9

Letters could be anything

[] is the blank square
____________________________________________

First find the correct pieces for the first two on top from the left, shouldn't be hard at all (1 and 2).
Then move the piece that is suppose to be on the top right to the right hand middle row (3) with the blank slot on the left middle row [].

1 2 A
[] B 3
C D E

Now move the (1) piece down and then move the (2) piece to the left where the (1) was.

2 [] A
1 B 3
C D E

Now move A left, move (3) up, B right, A down, Move (2) back to the right, And then (1) Back Up.
Now you should have the top row in the correct slot, DO NOT touch them anymore at this point.

1 2 3
[] A B
C D E

Now you have to get the 2 left sides of both middle and bottom row correctly.
To do this move the piece that is suppose to be on the left bottom row (7) to the left middle (basically move it above where it suppose to be)

1 2 3
7 A B
[] D E

Now find the piece that suppose to be in the left middle row (4) and place it right in the middle dead center of the puzzle right next to (7)

1 2 3
7 4 B
[] D E

Make sure the blank square is right under the (7) piece.
Now move (7) down and (4) left.
Now the entire left and top column are correct.
DO NOT Touch either columns anymore as well.

1 2 3
4 A B
7 [] C

Now move the remaining pieces into place ( if you cant figure the last 3 out please shot yourself)

Now since they only have like 4 pictures or so on the site, once you do each picture a few time you will know exactly where each piece goes to and with the method above you can get through each puzzle in under half a minute NO EXCUSES!

Choose which ever program that looks the best.

I'm sorry but did you even look at anyone of those at all.
None of them is a solving program.
Their the puzzle game themselves.
I wouldn't even know how anyone can make a solver for this game.
It would have to visually recognize the picture and move the pieces accordingly... no simple program can do that.

Honestly even if there was a program it takes 30-50 secs max to do one by hand and you can only do it 12 times a day anyways. 6-8 mins is nothing.

Miranda
08-31-2008, 02:00 AM
Yeah, the slide puzzles are easy. I used to sit around and just do the ones in Wind Waker (in the cabana on Link's Oasis or something).

It takes longer to do the hard ones, so I just do the easy ones since it's the same max amount of credits anyway. I tried to see if I could go over the limit by getting 55 points then doing a hard puzzle for 20 more points, but it only ended up giving me 5 points for solving it instead of 20. So there's no sneaking past the credit limit here and getting a few extra points for the day like you can do with Live Search Club.

They're pretty easy once you get used to doing them.

Miranda is that your actual phone number above our avatar?
That's kinda weird just throwing it out there like that, just saying. :-s

Sort of. It's my brring.com number and forwards to my grandcentral voicemail box. Brring used to pay 5 cents every time someone called your number (because it plays an ad before it forwards to your actual number), but they got rid of that incentive, so now it's kind of pointless to have it up there. Only one CAG has called and left a message in the few months I've had the number there - it was a pretty funny message, IMO.

Anyway, getting back on topic... I hope this site adds other ways to earn points and maybe ups the credit limit a little because some prizes will take a long time to get enough credits for with their current limits. I haven't tried the coupon thing yet, but since someone mentioned it was easy points, maybe I should check it out. Or maybe they can have a double credit day like Live Search Club does double ticket days. That'd be good.

Each household may receive a maximum quantity of one of each prize item over a 180-day period and a maximum quantity of ten prizes over the life of the Program. The value of your prizes in a calendar year may not exceed U.S. $500.

I'm a little confused with their wording here. Does it mean you can only order one prize per 180 days or "one" of a particular prize... meaning you can order more than one prize within the 180 days, just not one you've previously ordered?

Also the part that says "a maximum quantity of ten prizes over the life of the Program" - does that mean you can only order 10 things??? I'm really gonna have to be picky with what I order if I can only get 10 prizes from this.

killer9
08-31-2008, 03:46 AM
yes you can get ten things total 1 of each item aslong as they dont total over 500 dollars in a year

VioletArrows
08-31-2008, 03:49 AM
You can get one of each prize every three months. Probably to keep people from doing like in Live Club, getting a bunch to resell. And you can only pick ten prizes total. After that, it probably won't let you play anymore (*coughnewaccountcough*).

I'm intrigued by the cute little aquarium in the pet section. That'll be the second prize after I test this with the notebook sleeve. I could use one. Then some socks, the black water bottle, a spice jar for mom (she loves collecting la creuset), and we'll see what happens from there.

supraazn
08-31-2008, 04:01 AM
yea since the limit is 500$ worth of prizes a year you won't be able to get many of the expensive ones anyways.
So you don't really have to pick carefully because your going to end up using most of the 10 prizes on the cheaper items.

Do you see the 5 buttons on the top of the page that say games, dating, shopping, etc? Click on shopping and select a category once you get to that page. Now select random products, and once you click on a product you will see at the top a thumb where you can either rate it hot or not. I can take a pic if you need it.

Not too bad a site. 100 credits is fairly easy to obtain in like 30 minutes. We'll just have to see how prize redemption goes.
Not to mention they seem to have a strict policy on set prize limits per household. Max quantity of 10 prizes per household. So
much for ordering the smaller prizes. Having to wait 6 months to order a duplicate item. What if I want 2 packs of running socks now? :D

Not on top of literally, I should've said 'in addition to'. When you go around the site looking at all the other things you can buy, every product page (on their site, not redirects) will have a row of buttons where you can rate hot/not, and email/IM the page to other people. You get 5 points for every product you rate not on the hot/not list (up to 50 points), and then 2 or 5 points for sending links to friends. I just send them to my other account.:D

why waste your time with the scrambled pictured. All I did was do the wheel, hot or not list and the coupon clipper alone lets you get 100 tickets i was getting 10 points per coupon I entered. All in all it took me 10 to 15 minutes.

Well if you don't put in a valid coupon they have every right to ban your account. Might not be right away, but when you go to redeem your prize they will probably check your account. The puzzles take about 10-15 seconds for 5 points anyways which can't be that much slower then submitting a coupon.

because the scramble slider puzzle takes me 30 sec max and thats if i take my sweet time and if i get hit by the hint bitch.
The coupon takes WAY longer if you actually go look for them.
I don't want to be a jackass an spam fake or repeat the same coupon over and over.

Heres what i do.
10 pts hot list. (5 sec)
50 pts rate hot or not random products. (1 min)

thats 60 pts already.

5-50 pts wheel. (5 sec)
Then i do 20-30sec easy puzzles to fill whatever is left from the wheel

even if i only get 5 pts from the wheel thats only 7 picture games, (3 1/2 minutes.)

Altogether i only spent about 5 mins for 100pt and without spamming fake coupons.

simply click on "home", NOT the "home" button on the left above the "how to earn credits", but the one in the top blue grayish bar next to "shopping advice".
Pick a category and click on one of the product, now top right of the page you see the thumps icon rate hot or not.
Now do ten of those at 5pts each for 50 pts.

On firefox i just middle mouse button 10 produces to open them all in tabs to make it quicker.

For the puzzles all I did is mash the arrow keys for 5 seconds and the solve puzzle option comes out. It yields me 2 credits in 5 sec and I get at least 30 credits from the wheel every time which just leaves me with the hot or not section. All together, it only takes me 10 minutes to max out every day.

Lots of practice for me. I sucked hard when I first started doing the puzzles, but after a while, I noticed the pattern of finishing them and just memorized the pattern. Now I can do about 12 in a row on easy.

It might be a little hard to understand at first but trust me its ALOT easier than it seems.

I found a trick on how to max out your 100 points for the day.

Not mine but i figured i could share is it's what ive been doing.

First, go to http://frequentshopper.msn.com/Activiti ... ef=website (http://frequentshopper.msn.com/Activities/CouponClipper/SubmitCoupon.aspx?ref=website)

It will ask you to sign in if you haven't already done so.

Change "website" in the address bar to any site you want (don't put mango12.com!).

Fill in all the fields with info. Go to slickdeals.net for coupons if you want to put legit info.

For the expiration date, put today's date so that the coupons on the frequent shopper site disappear at the end of the day and you don't flood the site with uneeded coupons.

Submit the coupon and you should get 10 credits if you filled out all the fields.

Click back then re-submit for another 10 credits. Repeat until you max out (100 credits). Or you can keep submitting different coupons.

Update: Instead of going back and resubmitting, you can refresh the page and click Resend (on firefox).

Guys you can max out 100pt a day without the coupon thing.
So IMO just skip the coupon and work the wheel, hot list, rate items, a few slider puzzles.
Just as fast if not faster and you wont spam useless coupons.
Plus you don't want it to come back and bite you on the ass later on if MSN decides to punish the coupon spammers.

Me i feel the opposite.
I'm tire of getting free or near free cheap crap from online that will be used once or twice before disappearing into the abyss.
Or getting a cheap item that i could pick up on a casual stroll at wal-mart or something.

Here i want to get something that i wouldn't normally spring for because i'm poor, like a GPS or a brand new spanking camera.

Since the squares are so small some of the pieces have virtually nothing on them, so you have to play around with finding

Wow, that technique works perfectly. Great job!

Where does it say its one account per household? I looked around on the terms, but could not find it.

That's because it isn't in there.

Microsoft may limit the quantity of credits or prizes per person or per household. Each household may receive a maximum quantity of one of each prize item over a 180-day period and a maximum quantity of ten prizes over the life of the Program. The value of your prizes in a calendar year may not exceed U.S. $500.

There is nothing wrong with having more than 1 account in your house, just like Live Search Club. However, you are still limited to only 10 prizes (or $500) per house.

Of course, you could always change your address and send it to your friend's house to pick it up for you..

All hail dodgeme.

It shows up right after you click play, so there is no difficulty. It's harder than the hardest difficulty though, with some tiles completely void of anything besides 1 color.

That sounds awful. Do you instantly get 500 points to get a prize, or does it automatically list all the cheap prizes and you have to pick one right there?

When you complete it, it asks you if you want to go to the prize mall to select your prize. You get 1 credit towards a 500
point prize. I went to the prize mall and it showed all the 500 point prizes and I got to select it from there. What's cool is
this is an extra free prize and doesn't count toward your 10 prize limit.

Now that I've gotten the hang of the puzzles, one of the few gripes I have left about this site is that there's such a big gap between the first two prize levels and there's a limit to how many prizes (1) you can order a day.

So if you have, say, a thousand points, you only have two choices. One is to grind up to the next thousand and cash out and the other is to get two 500 point prizes; one on one day and another on the next. Why can't they just have a 1000 point prize tier instead?

For the people that are wondering about which system the Rock Band is for i think i know how they're doing it.
Now that i have over 500pts the option under the "Le Creuset Spice Jar" changes from "play & win" to "select options" as oppose to "Get it".
And when you click on it it lets you choose different colors.
my guess for Rock Band is that it'll let you choose which system you want it for.
So thats a pretty sweet deal unlike MS club, now you can get RB for PS3 or wii also.

Don't hold me to this tho, its only a guess but im pretty sure im right.

Question about the golden puzzle. Does it come under any circumstances (like, appears randomly after solving all three of the first difficulties) or does it just come randomly, period?

LOL I may do the same thing! I'll be done with my quarter in2 weeks and will have to wait out a quarter for me to get my final classes. If I dont get a job during that time, Ill LSC and this site alot!

Anyways, is there a way to manipulate the Image scrambler just like the Spin wheel? With the spin wheel, I found out that it will say what amount it will land on or you can tell just as it gets done. Before it sends MSN the info, close it out and reopen it and it should still be there. And maybe with the Scrambler, there is a way to get a gold one by refreshing, clearing cookies, etc.

Edit:Annoying little "help" bubbles, Microsoft...OF COURSE!!!!

W00T!!! Just got and beat a gold puzzle. It did seem totally random, I certainly didn't do anything special to get it. Ordered a set of those neato LED candles. Gotta get some mood lighting fitting of a bachelor pad :-p

I like this site more than club live. It may take a little longer to save up points, but I was never down with putting an hour or two every day into some silly prize. I'd rather just spend a few minutes everyday and let points build up over time.

I hate spinning 5's on the daily wheel though. That's a blower.

From the site:
"Play up to 5 hours of video or up to 24 hours of audio on a single charge. All that staying power and a wafer-thin, 6.5-mm profile makes iPod nano one small big attraction."

I'm not sure if it's a pure coincidence or what, but I'd completed two of the hard puzzles (out of the 5 pictures) and noticed every time I refreshed the game, I'd still only get one of the other 3 puzzles. So I decided to complete another one, and every time I refreshed, only the remaining 2 puzzles would appear. I went ahead and finished the other two puzzles on hard and come to find that now the game won't load at all. I go to it and it just sits there saying "Loading.."

Not sure what it's trying to do or if I'll get a gold puzzle out of it, but when I log out (so it's under a fresh guest account), it loads the puzzles without any trouble.

Any thoughts?
