Debbie does Dallas is good for some classic "pow-chicka-mau-mau" action. Or the ever popular, Back Door Sluts 9 is great too.

Perhaps The Heist. While not as good as The Score or Heat, IMO it's worth seeing.

For cheesy horror get Bubba Hotep...
If you want an absolutely brilliant movie, rent City of God. It's Brazillian, and subtitles, but it's about gang violence. And there's a bank robbery in it too :)

You've Seen
Usual Suspects?
What about Grade B Horror
Cabin Fever? Great IMO. I thought it was crap in the theatre but once I got it on DVD and watched it it was much much better.
The extras are great....
I am sure I can think of others.

If you haven't seen Mystic River, thats a newer must see. Identity is damn good. Memento is a bit older but still great and The Butterfly Effect is amazingly good (despite Ashton Kutcher).

Ocean's 11 and The Thomas Crown Affair
I'm vouching for the remakes. I haven't seen the originals.

get The Great Escape, it's like a heist movie, it has all the planning and stuff but instead of getting into a bank their getting out of a Nazi POW camp

THANKS!!
I knew I was missing some of the more recent good movies. Identity is really good as well as Buterfly Effect. Momento is decent make sure you pay attention.
Another one I really liked was teh Life of David Gale. It was a good movie.
usual Suspects should be a BlockBuster "Favorite" by now for .99 it cant be beat.

Out of the two movies (directors and Theatre release) on Butterfly Effect. I personally liked the Directors ending over the mainstream release. The movie has some added seens as well that put it together better in my opinion. So if you rent it watch the Directors version.
Again my opinion.

Long time lurker This may be my first post but I dont know..
some of my favorites..
Usual Suspects, Resivoir(sp?) Dogs, The Professional, Boondock Saints(great flick not really bank robbery though.. ). DogDayAfternoon, Set it off (Girl Bank Robbers). Dead Presidents, Quick Change (Classic Bill Murry).
here are a few other I like..
The Returner, Night Hawks, Escape From New York, (better than LA.), Big Trouble in Little China, (Carpenter is a Genius), La Femme Nikita , Equalibrium, The 10th Victim(Italian 60's Future Killer kinda movie with Marcello Mastroianni Ursula Andress, Campy but fun to see that ppl in the 60s thought the Future would be like), Cemetary Man (Ruppert Everett Kills Zombies another great Italian Film.),

Watch the Butterfly Effect(Director's Cut because it's better). I just saw the Mystic River last night and it's good too.
Life of David Gale is a great movie....so is K-PAX w/ the same star Kevin Spacey.

If you can find it, rent Plan 9 From Outer Space. Worth the 99 cents just to see how bad special effects can be. And when you watch it, realize this was a hugely hyped movie for its day and stars some big names, including Bela Lugosi and a young Gregory Walcott.
If you can't sit through it.. atleast fast forward to the UFO's being destroyed.. seeing a paper plate on a string being set on fire with a Zippo.. classic.

I agree with City of God. Another one to consider is The Sting, with Robert Redford and Paul Newman. It's an older film (1973), but is the best heist movie ever made. It's brilliantly written, acted, and directed, and has the Oscars to prove it (it won Best Picture, Director, and Screenplay, among others).
If you want a good horror film, you can't do better than the Exorcist, which was, incidently, released the same year as the Sting, and was it's main competition at the Oscars.

I like all of the movie up until the ending, both versions fell apart at the end IMHO. Other than that, great movie.

Whatever you do, don't pick up Frogs. Worst movie ever. In fact don't pick up any movie named after a animal. No The Boa, no The Snake, no Piranas
