The other day I was on my lunch at Wal-Mart and one of my friends who works there told me that they had just marked down a camcorder from $430 to $150.
This is the camcorder I'm talking about:

I really like the built in hard drive and being able to upload video directly to my computer.
Here's the kicker though, the next day I got a call from her and she told me that someone from the home office messed up on pricing this and every Wal-Mart was selling this camera for $150 the day I bought mine. Since then the price has been changed to $430 in store.

this is an awesome deal. i would love to own one of these hd cams. my bro have this particular model its really nice.

This was a major pricing error, corporate-wide. I work in the photolab and we caught the price change early in the morning. The manager said to pull all units from the floor until it was fixed.
If I had the money, I would've snagged one for myself first.

Yeah the people in my photolab had no idea that it was an error. Neither did I. They actually had a new price tag on it at the $150 price. We had two on hand and I bought the only one we had on the shelf. The other was the display model.
At first I didn't think it was much of a deal because the person who works in the photolab said it was replenishable. After I heard that I started having second thoughts about it and thought maybe the camcorder was pure crap. I also returned it to be honest.
I'm really happy I kept it though. Also, an added bonus was the fact that I was able to use my discount on it as well.

How much record time does it have? I have a camcorder buy it records on DVDs. Every 30 minutes I have to swap. So annoying!

7 hours on the highest quality setting and 35 hours on the lowest setting.

i just got home from walmart and i was walking past the camaras and i happend to remember this thread so i looked and they had the camara listed for 150. i know they had at least one left, but i couldnt see if there was more. but i already had a hdd recorder so i passed on it. walmart located in camden, DE
