Def Jam: Fight for NY demo at EB

Don't think it's been posted.. but the XBox kiosk has a demo of Def Jam: Fight for NY now.. while the PS2 has the Burnout 3 demo, and the GC has the Paper Mario demo.

First impressions.. very impressed. Very short demo. Story mode is one fight, inside a warehouse and you're surrounded by fire. You can catch the people on fire. Action flows a lot more smoothly. In "Battlemode", you can pick five people, but I can only remember four of them (Ludacris, Redman, Method Man, Busta Rhymes). I was Ludacris and fought Busta. This was set in a warehouse type setting, only this time, you're surrounded by people. You can throw your opponent into the crowd, and the crowd holds your opponent while you punch away.. if you do a grapple move while the crowd is holding someone, a person from the audience will help you doubleteam the guy. It's cool.

I'm sure this is in the wrong forum.. or has already been posted.. or something. But if you've played it, post impressions! I'm definately looking forward to this now.

mmm..... my EB has demos of paper mario, pikimin 2, and Donkey konga among other things...

That's the same demo that's on the October OPM demo disc.
The whole fighting in a ring of fire is pretty cool idea. Especially the first time I played and I had no idea why he was dumping gas everywhere.

Except on XBox. This one had it's own case with the artwork on the front. Hopefully I'll be able to get it when they're done with it, or replace it with a full copy of the game.

This game is going to be good. The demo allows you to only explore free mode, which is basically the same thing as midnight club 2... but with NFS engine and all. you can only use the analog stick to control becuase when driving around u need to use the D-pad to anwer 2 ways on your cingular phone from mario (1st game)LMAO! the driving and physics are basically the same, and unfortunatly you cant get the real sense of speed off the demo because u get a pretty crappy car to start with that is un-upgradable thru the demo.

we got the demo at our EB too but my gayass manager decided to give it to some customer because he said "it sucked so bad that people wouldn't preorder the game".... -sigh-

I'm not a big fan of wrestling games really (I think they peaked with the NES' Pro Wrestling (viva el Fighter Hyabusa). Still when I heard that Danny Trejo and Henry Rollins were in this game I was amused. I friend of mine is sold on it and has preordered it. It'll be interesting to see if it's as crappy as I expect.
