Sorry, I didn't know where to put this topic and I figured many of you guys would know.
When Amazon has only a few left in stock of an item (under 10 or 5) they actually list next to the item:
Only 1 left in stock--order soon (more on the way).
Now, what I'm wondering is, is that just something they always say? Does "more on the way" actually mean they're getting more in stock later? Are they just assuming such? Or is it just like the "Temporarily Out of Stock" where they probably are not getting the item anymore?

when it's not available they'll actually say "This Item Is Not Available At This Time" and it won't let you place an order for it

Amazon owns all of the inventory of the entire world. If it's still being produced at all, they'll get more in.
google "amazon warehouse tour" or somesuch to see a video of the underground city they call a warehouse.
"more on the way" should mean they've already placed an order for more, they're just physically down to the last few at the moment.

Dang, that was hard to find. I almost gave up, but finally found it again. Here ya go:

I'm not sure which distribution center this is, but their largest one can hold 13 football fields.

I originally saw this video as one of the daily videos on Yahoo when logging in to read my E-mail, now it's nowhere to be found at yahoo. The only video harder to find than this one for me was the 2 girls one cup stuff...
