IF you do a search on the UPC code on that wii drumset it is the same as the Rock Band 1 drumset. I think CC just got confused. That would explain why it's in-stock now.

yes they are. Cymbals and hi hat are sold separately from the new drumset for all systems. Unless you want to spend $300 for the Ion set which is also a real electronic drum set =D

Yes. The cymbals / hi-hat are 3rd party from Madcatz, listed at Gamestop (http://www.gamestop.com/Catalog/ProductDetails.aspx?product_id=72369).

Have you see what they supposedly are? Check this article (http://www.destructoid.com/rock-band-2-commercial-gives-first-glimpes-of-optional-drum-cymbal-add-ons-102870.phtml) from Destructoid and watch the 360 commercial. Never saw them until now. Pretty cool.

I knew the new set would utilize the cymbols & hihat. I also knew madcatz was doing exlusive RB2 accessories. I did not however, put one and one together. I assumed the new drum kit included the cymbols/hi hat.

From what my friend mentioned from their vendor show the other day, it's pretty tight.


edit: stupiddream, thanks for that observation. I've updated the OP and the title. This is a huge buyer beware as you may be buying the RB1 set.
