FYE/TWEC/Planet Music has a deal going on right now that gives a $30 mail-in rebate with Metal Gear Solid 4 (reg. $59.99). Discount card members (Backstage Pass) get an extra 10% off the regular price of the game, meaning you get MGS4 for $24 plus tax. Only problem is it takes around two months for the rebate to come, and it comes in form of American Express gift card, rather than their regular postcard checks. But if you're patient and not picky, this is a great deal. Confirmed for southeastern Virginia (VA Beach, Norfolk, Chesapeake, Hampton). If anyone can confirm this anywhere else, please add. Thanks!

That is a damn good deal for anyone who has not bought that game yet
I took a look at
http://fyerebates.com/promocenter/fye/index.shtml
and there's nothing online about a rebate on MGS4 (at least yet).

Thx OP, just picked up a copy with the $30 rebate.
FYI, the MGS4 rebate is valid on purchases from 9/6/08 to 9/23/08.
Also, my store had no idea there was a rebate on it. In fact they didn't believe it until I asked them to ring up the item. Then the dude was like "Damn, that sucks I just bought it last week for $60".

The offer wasn't advertised in any way, as most have little card things behind the games telling you of the rebate. But the rebate is definitely in the system, at least in my area and that one other guy's. The dates he gave are correct. The employees at my store didn't believe it either when it rang up, but I asked them to verify and they did. Anyway, good luck everyone!

FYE's rebates are for in-store purchases only. Kinda sucks, but you'll get it sooner if you just go to the store anyway. Also if you're interested, most game systems (except for Wii's) have a $30 MIR also. Just a heads up.
