I just ordered these speakers off of Amazon for $51. Does anyone know if there is an auxillary port? Cause that would be great for my iPod. And does anyone know how these speakers sound in a small bedroom? That's where these speakers will be going. I have a Bose Lifestyle 28 downstairs for the Home Theater. Thanks.

Not sure what uax port is. But i have Ipod and it sounds great on pc with these speakers. The bass on extremely low is even too much for my apt.

An aux port allows you to hook up and MP3 player to the system. So you're saying that it has one because you were able to hook your iPod to it?

USB 2.0 adapter $20.
Could u mean firewire? I dont have firewire or a connection straight to the speakers.

No... okay. I'll ask the question in a better way, which should make more sense. Is there an aux port on the Z-640's so I could directly plug my iPod to it. I'm not hooking this up to any computer whatsoever. I just want to know can I directly plug my iPod into the system. Thanks

I don't think there is but I could be mistaken. I belive all the plugs are used up by the speakers. Could be wrong (I'll check when I get back). Really nice speakers though.

My friend set up his Z-640s in a medium sized room (I say its medium because he and his brother shared it but recently his bro moved out) and those speaks shook not only the room but the whole damn house. Definitely a quality set.

Hopefully there is a way that I could plug my iPod into. That's the main reason why I bought it. But I hope that you could get back to me.

Of course you can. There is a 1/4 inch plug that would plug into you computer, but instead you will hook it up to the headphone jack of your ipod. If you are worried buy them from circuit city, try them out then return them and buy from amazon!

Why not just put it in and play it off the pod through iTunes? You could probably buy an adapter if needed also...
Also, if you're using an Audigy 2 I belive they come with an Aux port...

I'm not planning to hook these up to my computer as I already have the Bose Companion 3's for my computer. This is just a home theater for my bedroom just in case I get tired at night and don't feel like falling asleep in the actual home theater downstairs.
