Can't wait! It's too bad we're not getting a Final Mix version of KHII that includes this. Do you have a link to the source?

Unfortunately, i don't think it's Final Mix package... sounds like it's just Chain of Memories by itself.

Rumblings Of PS2 Chain Of Memories At GameStop Expo
A tipster who chooses to remain anonymous dropped us a line to let us in on a juicy little tidbit from the GameStop Expo in Las Vegas. According to the source, yesterday during Square Enix's presentation, mention was made of Kingdom Hearts: Chain of Memories for the PS2.
Once Square-Enix was up, there was a small mention of Kingdom Hearts: Chain of Memories. When asked if it was the one that was included with Final Mix II in Japan, they confirmed it with a nod. There hasn't been any official announcement through Square, just a small mention...
Of course until we get an official announcement this is still firmly in the realm of rumor, but combined with the rumors that ran rampant back in July about Square Enix auditioning an English voice cast, there could very well be some truth behind it. With a hungry fanbase desperate for anything Kingdom Hearts related, it would be silly for this not to happen.

I'm still not convinced, but if does get an English release, I'll be buying it again so I have 3 versions of all KH games.:P

Man, I didn't expect to be playing my PS2 again. I'm gonna have to get this one. I love the KH series.

A press release (http://www.square-enix.com/na/company/press/2008/0919/) went out yesterday. So yeah, it's now confirmed :)
Think I'll be skipping this one since I've already played the original, but if you haven't, it should be worth checking out.

I'll be getting it to complete my collection as well. Plus I never played the GBA version. Sora's voice is going to seem a little awkward since HJO's voice cracked between 1 and 2, and this takes place right after 1 ends.

I really can't believe how little hype this is getting. Times really have changed, I guess.
It's weird to me because the KH games were just so amazing. Then, when you go to the preview page and hear the famous KH start screen piano tune....I just melt. Awesome stuff.

I'll get it.
That reminds me; I need to finish KH2.
I bought it on release day, so it's been a while.

I think people are just saving their hype for KH3. Though I also want to check out Birth By Sleep. I guess I also want to play 358/2 Days, if only to find out what the title means.

Without Final Mix this game is a no-go for me... At first I was hyped but then I realized it's a card-based action game.

No doubt. I really hope KH3 doesn't go this route.

KH3 will only sell me if they put more people in the towns... KH1-2 were empty and boring outside of battle.
They really needed to add NPCs to the Disney worlds desperately.

Finally it's hitting the states. I've been waiting awhile for this release. Hopefully it'll be a good one. I mean I did play the GBA Chain of Memories but I really just want to see how it is in 3D.

I'm actually more excited for this than any other upcoming game, currently. I've played the GBA version and I loved every second of it. I actually bought a GBA just so I could play it. I'm playing through the original on expert so as to prepare for this one.

Although I tend to not care much about the PS2 these days, this will be a game I'll buy. I liked it on GBA, but rather play it on a console.

Pre-order page at Gamestop. Looks like there be some bonus cards packed in with the game.
Also seems good that it's on $30, since it would be a rip-off if they charged $50 due to only get part of the KH2 final mix.

I think I need to own this, but I just don't want to go back to the PS2. I'll buy it, but I know I probably won't even play through it. I'm so lame.

Well, this comes out next week. I've decided that I'm not going to get it. I want it cuz I was (maybe still am) a huge KH fan. But, i have a hard time going back to past generation consoles once I'm entrenched in the new gen. Plus, I know I'm just going to be thinking "eh, this is taking too long" or "oh yeah, this is what happens next" or "where's the 'cheevements??"
Hopefully it'll drop in a little bit and I can get it and have it sit on my shelf. I know better than to try to tell myself that I'll actually play it. I know I won't.

I briefly considered preordering this when it showed up in my Gold Box Quick Picks, but instead I think I'll wait until Amazon discounts it to $9.99 the week after release.

Is this typical of Amazon? Just wondering...
Anybody know the best place to get this at a sweet deal? $30 seems pretty standard, but I'm seeing it at Fry's for $25 on Thursday. Of course, no cards. Or, I can go into Gamestop tonight to preorder for the cards --- two trips tho --- , then have to come back again the following day to pick it up with a $5 off coupon so it is also $25. (Coupon only valid at that specific Gamestop in Union City, CA.)

Lately it seems like they've been heavily discounting JRPGs very quickly after release. Final Fantasy Tactics A2 is the only recent game I can think of that hasn't had a discount of at least $10 at some point.

I've been playing it tonight... its about as straight of a port from the GBA version as you can get --- minus the 3D. The dialogue, gameplay, EVERYTHING... identical.
Though, what REALLY makes me laugh is hearing "old Sora's" voice coming out of "little kid Sora's" body. They didn't even try to explain his voice change. At least in KH2 it kinda made sense in that they eluded to the fact that he grew while in deep sleep.
In any case, I got it for about $25. I don't mind picking it up a week before the $19.99 deal if I get to play it now AND I get the free postcards.

Yes, 3 postcards slipped in right behind the manual. The shrinkwap has a sticker that says something to the extent of "cards included with first run only."

Yep. Only problem is the text on the spine of the disc case doesn't match the other two. It's just a plain bold typeface. Shouldn't bother you though unless you're fanatical about that sort of thing.

I tried looking on Sony's site for an answer but no luck I'm afraid on finding you an answer.
EDIT: After some searching on Gamefaqs, it appears that the game locks up on some 80gb PS3's during the Tutorial. So if you played on a PS2 through the Tutorial then transferred a save, it might be fine.

Well, that doesn't seem like good news. I wish Sony would somehow do something about that. Unfortunately, they seem to be more concerned about pushing PS3 + PSP games lately.
