Mods: I understand dealextreme sells Flash Carts and other stuff like that, so if this is against the rules, sorry.
Dealextreme has a generic brand 8 GB pro duo for $34.58 shipped.
http://www.dealextreme.com/details.dx/sku.13224
My personal option, though, would be:
StarJade SDHC MicroSD (TF) to Memory Stick MS Pro Duo Adapter Sleeve (could be StarJade, Kingston, or EagleTec; I got Kingston) for $5.23 shipped.
http://www.dealextreme.com/details.dx/sku.12177
And a Genuine SanDisk MicroSD/TransFlash SDHC TF Memory Card (8GB / Class 2) for $29.57.
http://www.dealextreme.com/details.dx/sku.13305
This way, you not only get a name-brand legit card; you can also use the MicroSD to convert to pretty much ANY other card you need it to be. MS pro, SD, miniSD, CF, whatever. I have personally ordered memory cards and this StarJade adaptor and they work flawlessly. I know I'm a new member (kind of, forgot password to my 2 year old account), but google dealextreme I guess. I've ordered from there several times and they've never sent me a bogus card or anything. Just know that they're in Hong Kong and it takes a week or 2 to get there. Good luck! :)

Deal Extreme is great for many things, Memory cards is not one of them, most are fakes.

Namebrand legit my ass. Don't use dealextreme for memory cards. They are much slower than real ones even if they do say Sony on them

I apologize then. I've bought many from there and have never had any problems with them.
I'm not sure if this site deals in "legit" memory cards or not, but if OP is feeling especially cheap, he can still get the StarJade + microSD combo.
Here's a cheap 8 GB microSD for $31 (make sure to use the free shipping code at checkout "freeship")

EDIT: I just looked at the reviews for cellphoneshop and they don't look too great.
If you're still interested in the StarJade adaptor from Dealextreme, you can get an 8 GB microSD card off Amazon for $24 + $4 shipping.

Jeeeez lol.. All my posts are beaten down. I just realized I've never actually got a microSD off DX, but I have recieved multiple adapters; including the Kingston microSD to MS pro duo and I've had no problems.
Have you personally tried the adapter Xfactor? There is a VERY slight difference in write speed (putting stuff on the card) but I haven't had ANY slowdowns when compared to a $65 4 GB Pro Duo I got from bestbuy. If OP doesn't want to go with my suggestion, whatever. I was just trying to help like everyone else in this forum..

hmmm thats odd ha ha no harshness intended for you, put yes i had the adapter matter a fact i had the one from Kingston that supported SDHC, well when coupled with my 8GB some game saves etc, would not load at all, occassionally even saving errors occured, and obviously no magicgate, haha maybe it was cuz i was using 8GB? But regardless i recommend a real pro duo :)
PS sorry if i sounded rude, my bad :)

Possibly. By the way I didn't really mean you personally when I quoted. But thanks for the info guys, I'll be sure to be a bit more careful on DX. Xfactor - I get MagicGate support on mine, maybe you got a defective one or something? My Sandisk 4GB, Kingston 2 GB, and LG 64 MB all worked o_O.

the 4gb sandisk pro duo is pretty good. It's alot faster than my old 2gb sandisk pro duo.
