Recs on a good multiplayer PS3 game (there's a catch!)

I'm trying to find a good, fun PS3 game that would allow two local players to play with one remote player. So my buddy and I would be in one room, on one PS3 watching one tv both of us playing at the same time with another buddy online who is in another location.

It could be a shooter, racing, sports, whatever, it just can't be crap.

There are plenty of games that do online multiplayer, there are those that do split screen multplayer or same-tv multiplayer but I can't think of one that does what I'm describing.

Any ideas CAGers?

Warhawk does what you are asking. Up to 4 players on one machine online.

And someone correct me but I thought you could do haze splitscreen too online.

Of course in both instances you cannot play 'ranked' games (presuming the haze thing is correct).
