It's only really worth it for collectors or big fans of the MGS series. The second disc (which is not included in the MGS Essentials Collection) has the MSX2 versions of MG and MG2, as well as the secret theater.

Pikmin 2 is not a great flip. With the coupon and edge it would be $28.00 before tax. I just sold a complete copy on eBay for a total of $35.00. There is marginal profit if any and the game needs to be complete to sell for anything over $30 to begin with.

Wii Sports is still a great flip though as I have averaged above $25 on each copy sold.

I'm not sure if this would be a good flip or not, seeing as how I have sold the game at varying degrees of success but Kororinpa: Marble Mania seems to be okay. With the coupon and edge it would be around 19.20 before tax. I sold one copy for around $28 and another for $45.

Lastly, The Document of Metal Gear Solid 2 can fetch around $30 for a complete copy and can be bought for I believe $8 before any discounts.

Checked online inventory and found that a GS near me had Star Wars: FU (360) in stock. When I called to confirm the woman who answered the phone told me that Star Wars: FU was too new and they didn’t have it used. I told her I checked the online inventory and it said they did. I asked her to check, she put me on hold and came back and said, “Wow, we do have that in stock” I asked her to hold it for me and told her that I was on my way to get it. well you could always try to get an Xport station. I bought one to backup my hard drive, of course i screwed that up because I wasn't paying attention. You could also open your hard drive and manually connect it to your computer, but that kinda ruins resell value.

Anything DLC you've downloaded (game content, themes, pictures, etc) can be redownloaded using the "account history" feature on the Live Marketplace blade. It lists everything you've downloaded for easy reference in case you need to access it again (even if it's been delisted from the Marketplace, I believe). That'd be the easiest way to transfer over anything bigger than 512MB - most save files should be under that, save for maybe Oblivion and Halo 3 saved films.

The biggest thing you'd need to be concerned with when transferring data between hard drives would be your Live profile and any saved games. Everything else can be downloaded again free of charge from the Marketplace.

I would believe 5 dollars, 59.99 new and 54.99 used? Now that I think about it, why exactly is GS getting away with this? Is it because parents take it when they tell them its only been opend for display, when in reality it was also a rental copy for the employees? Of course, they're not forcing you to buy it, I am sure many of us decline and walk away when they tell us this. Still, Im sure this practice could land them in trouble eventually. A lot of risk for just for an extra 5 bucks.

Could also have been a stolen copy. For NHL 09 I bet they offer roughly $30 store credit right now (less for cash) so if it was for store credit, they made about $8 after the coupon and edge card. If you had been a "regular" consumer, they would have made $20-$25.

There are certain examples of Gamestop doing this. Ar Tonelico and Nocturne are prime ones. When they were reprinted at $20-30 and $40, they opened the games to a) hide the fact that there was a reprint and b) sell them for over retail price.

My assumption would be that some individual acquired it, either by purchasing it (then deciding they didn't need/want it) or stealing it, and then traded it in to Gamestop. Under normal circumstances, the employee really should have refused the trade in or asked the customer to unwrap it. It's not illegal as long as they pay the manufacturer their cost. On games like NHL 09, they are taking a hit by doing that if it was theirs. If it was traded in, then they are making profit fully. As someone stated earlier, on the ones that are reprints they sell as used for more than manufacturer price. As long as GameStop pays the manufacturer cost they are fine. Some people just look for any reason to bitch/complain at GameStop. They are by no means the best company in the world, but not the huge evil everyone makes them out to be.

When I went to pick it up, the clerk told me that the game was just released yesterday and that they didn't have a used copy. I told him that GS.com showed that they had one in stock. I think there's two SKU's for the 120GB drives. The black ones come from traded Elite's, and should ring up at $99.99 (mine did this morning). The grey ones are used retail HD's - a store I went to yesterday had black ones at $99 and grey ones at $129.It's both cool and stupid how a company like Gamestop could have something like this happen. But, I can see why though. The xbox 360 elite is much older than the the other 120gb hard drive.

Sometimes it won't show up in the search so you have to check the listing. Many new games, for example, won't have the used price in the search. You have to check the listing on them.

Guy behind the counter said that sometimes they receive "used" copies in their shipments that are basically perfectly pristine new copies that just don't have the shrinkwrap on them. This copy of VP:TiP didn't even have a single speck of dust on it, and since I used credit it was only like $24.49 total for a brand spankin' new game.

Kind of a funny story...I went to return the 512MB memory unit that I got last week for $27.99 using this coupon to transfer all my files from the old HDD to the new 120GB HDD. So I go to return it, and at first she only wanted to exchange it for another memory unit. I tell her that I want to return it and get my credit back, but she was like "I can only give you store credit if there aren't any other units available, and I have one here". So I ask her if that's really my only option, and she goes "Oh you know what, I don't want to break my head over this, I'll just give you your credit back". So she takes my EDGE and asks the manager to come over and help her since she didn't really know how to do it I guess. So here comes the manager, gives her some instructions, and then she swipes the card. She has me sign the receipt, gives me back my EDGE and I go on my merry way...and then I look at the receipt and it says REFUND: 39.99. So I got a $39.99 refund for the MU, which I originally paid $27.99 for. I really love being a CAG sometimes...:D
