Saw this on FW

"
1) Go to 'myebay'.

2) On the left-side go down to 'eBay Preferences'.

3) Scroll down and look for "Buyer block preference".

4) Click on 'change' on the right-hand side.

You have 3 options:

Option 1 - Block people who "Are from countries I don't ship". When you list your auctin you select the countries you want to ship to. This allows you to block everyone else.

Option 2 - Block people who "Have a feedback score of" ... "or less. In the '...' section you can enter "-1", "-2", "-3".

Option 3 - Block people who "Have received Unpaid Item Strike from more than 1 seller in the last 30 days."

Is this new or something? I wouldn't know because I don't sell on ebay, but it sounds like something that should have been there from the start.

Wow. About time ebay started listening to the seller's complaints. This stuff should've been implemented from the start though. Like the 'block bidders from a country I don't ship to' option. How easy is that? How many headaches could that have prevented?

I can see the complaints going to eBay customer service now...

"I'm trying to bid but it won't let me!"

Wow. That's so freakin' basic, I can't believe it took them this long to put it in.

This is great, I wish ebay would tell you about this features instead of hiding them in sub-submenus.

Is there a way to look at gameboy games and not have to sift through all the hong kong crap?

I don't really understand what people have against shipping stuff internationally. It is usually the international buyers that are willing to pay more for the games. I mean if someone wants to pay for international shipping, then what is there to loose? :)

I live in Sweden but collect US/NTSC versions of games, it can be a bit frustrating trying to locate some games (especially the original non GH versions).

Although I'm not complaining about those new auction features, they are going to be pretty handy for avoiding confusion.

The problem I have with shipping internationally is that there is no seller protection through Paypal on international payments. All an international buyer has to do is say they never got the item, and I lose the money without recourse (I'm not saying you would do that, I just mean in general).

Yea I guess that is a problem, especially when it comes to more expensive items. Some sellers get around the problem by requiring international buyers to pay by money order. Paying with something like AuctionsPayments.com is pretty convenient too from a buyers point of view.

Thanks for the info . Now I want: "Block sellers from HonKong and nearby countries".
