Anyone on plan on getting this for the PS3? Looks like it ships this week!
I loved the other two games.. Played them a lot on PC, though I just checked system requirements on PC version and I don't think my PC can handle it lol, so I'm probably going to get it for PS3, and learn to deal with the gamepad. :P

Well, the thing is... I'm a big co-op gamer. And reports are that there's no co-op mode in the game whatsoever.
Thus, it's not on my list anymore.

Really, no co-op? I thought that was what this generation is all about.

I played the first BIA. The attention to detail (right down to putting bushes in the same place they were in 1947), gave me chills. The then-now-in_game photo unlockables were cool too. Because of my summer back log, I am likely going to wait on this one.

Earned in Blood didn't really have co-op either, just a couple of levels to complement the single player mode. Although fun, you could not play co-op thru single player campaign. I believe it was not at launch but they added it with a patch.. they could do that with Hell's Highway.

EAB had the co-op skirmish at launch, I played it with a friend and enjoyed it.
I may rent the game to try the campaign and multiplayer, but I usually don't buy games without a decent form of co-op in it.

What differentiates this game from other WWII shooters especially the upcoming CoD?

Emphasis on being a Squad leader. You basically control 2-3 fireteams of 4 men each and order them around in first person.

Well, it's BiA.. If you played the other ones it's the same type of gameplay.. The "dig in" mode and controlling with gamepad, is taking me a bit to get used to, but I'm still enjoying it so far.. I haven't tried MP yet.

This game is growing on me. I never played the previous 2 games, but I thought i'd give this one a shot since I heard great things about the first two. At first the gameplay was subpar. I actually didn't like it too much.
Controls are loose and I despise that on a FPS. I messed with the Control layout and changed it to "Tour of Duty" which is a COD type of layout. I also adjusted the Control/Aim Sensitivity to make up for it being real loose.
The more and more I play this game the more I heart it. The squad based control system is great. Telling your team to give suppressing fire then sending another squad or yourself to flake the enemy is awesome. The story is pretty neat as well. The characters are memorable and the voice acting is fairly terrific. The slow motion action camera is awesome to say the least. Tossing a gernade/shooting a Bazooka and seeing enemies fly everywhere with limbs missing is great each and everytime it happens.
This is no Call of Duty by any means and that's a good thing. It changes up the whole run and gun based FPS and switches it with a more Strategy type FPS which relies more on a Squad Based Command system and less on a single person killing machine which is more then welcome in my books.
Can't wait to play more later. :D

I think they changed the voice actor for "Mac". In the previous two games, he sounded kind of like Artie Lange (http://www.imdb.com/name/nm0005119/), but he sounds different in this one.
What are the Kilroy things for? They weren't in the original games and I accidentally skipped through it when they were talking about them.

The killroy things are paintings that other Army personal put there before you. I guess it's a game in which they hide the drawings and see who can find them. I really didn't pay attention too much at that part of the cinema

Actually, the Kilroy things, from what I remember (and this may be just myth), started with a shipyard inspector or foreman during WW2. He'd go around marking the piece of liberty ships he approved for construction with the message "Kilroy was here" and a little cartoon. The soldiers on these ships heading overseas say them and picked up the habit of marking places they went to in Europe with "Kilroy was here".
