I got mine in just about a week to Long Island. I didn't think that was too bad for media mail considering it came all the way from Washington state.

I actually prefer the older one! The new one I purchased (when the old one broke) has such a flimsy little wire that plugs into the controller that it is easily pulled out when you move around :cry:!

Because of the way media mail works this is essentially pointless. Going cross-country Media Mail packages are used to "fill in" empty space in air and truck shipments of priority and first class mail on an as needed basis so that all shipments are full. When the extra space is full, the leftovers get set aside for the next empty spot. (which may be on a truck to the next region or the next passenger flight that happens to be carrying U.S. Mail and is heading in the right general direction.) Going across country media mail may slip into an empty space on air transport and fly direct to your region reaching its destination really quickly, it may sit around a couple days and eventually slip into a quick flight, or it may slowly wind its way from region to region getting closer to its destination.

It is in many ways random which is why Media Mail is cheap and delivery times are so variable. It is also why media mail is much more likely to get lost or arrive with exterior packaging damage than Priority Mail packages.

His could actually have been sent 3 days after yours and still arrive a 4-5 days earlier because of this variability.

I emailed him the first week, the tracking # has said it is in washington state since day 1, I AM IN NYC and it hasnt moved in 2 weeks, I may re email him with complaints and even leave neg feedback. I know its a bit much but this is way to long for anything.:bomb:

You should really just be more patient. I am also in NY, and ordered on the 28th. He provided me with my tracking number and since this is media mail, it may take up to TWO WEEKS. I know, horrible. I just burned a 1 month card I had because I couldn't wait any longer.

Calling the USPS is not going to do anything for you. Just wait a few more days. Our sets are probably on the same plane/truck now.

Just because the tracking number says Washington State doesn't make it so. I've mailed stuff from AZ to NY, and the tracking number will usually say AZ for 2 weeks before it shows NY. The USPS tracking system is poor at best. I've had many USPS packages only scanned once and just one day end up at my door step. I wouldn't rely too heavily on it. IMHO UPS has the best tracking out of the big 4.

For those in NY, I bet it is no where near WA, even though tracking says so. The seller sends via media mail and being that you guys are on the other side of the nation, I wouldn't be surprised if it takes 2-3 weeks for the package to arrive.

I ship stuff frequently from Chandler and Scottsdale to various locales and have realized with time that it literally can make a difference which post office you start at and which they hit on arrival. From Chandler to Las Vegas shows the trip to San Diego and/or LA and then the move to LV, whereas Scottsdale to Schenectady showed one scan on departure and one on arrival.

If this guy's fixed issues in the past with buyers and myself and so many others got theirs eventually, I wouldn't worry.

Actually, soccerstud652...I ordered one (I live on the East Coast: Connecticut to be exact) and I received it in only 7 days, so it doesn't seem to be location based. I think the seller just sells a lot of items and sort of randomly chooses which ones to mail out. I ordered one a few days after the first, and both were received the same day. You should get it soon enough ^_^

When I moved back to Connecticut up from Florida I shipped over 260 pounds of my personal belongings that I couldn't fit in my car (since I didn't use a moving van/truck) so I shipped it up to my new house via Media Mail. Luckily for me, it all made it to Connecticut safely. The fact is most of the time they don't check to make sure it's actual media so a lot of eBay sellers take advantage of this, but the fact is if you are caught they WILL send it back to you so it's not worth it. Hardly surprises me though that they got away with it however.
