Is it me or all of the main speakers not representive of the actual party. Arnold, McCain, and Rudy are all from the moderate side of the Republican party. When in actuality the moderate side is the minority. They need to send up the fat white guys who fear change. The ones that are against gay rights, abortion rights, etc. Have them get up their and talk about the real Republican ideals. This is just another ploy to try to decieve the public.

Who cares. A presidential candidate gets up there, spews lies, gets elected, and everyone finds faults in them. Politics are corrupt. A popularity contest. A contest to see who wants to spend the most money on their campaign.

I can't see why people would support someone who has been hating on the environment for four years while saying he is improving it.

You know, the 'happy forest initiative' involves cutting down old growth trees (old growth trees don't burn in forest fires) and leaving pine trees and planting new pine trees (even live pine trees burn like matches).

You don't fuck around with natural selection. Those old growth trees are old for a reason.

whats funnier than that is how it took 8 yrs for Clinton to turn things around from Reagan Bush downward spiral, and it took less than 4 yrs for the second Bush to erase those 8yrs

Why do you keep bringing that up? The Democrats don't have any ties to socialism.

When have the republicans ever said that gays aren't welcomed? I, personally, am very much in favor of gay marriage, but I also plan on voting republican because the democrats don't have any plans to legalize it either. If Kerry did want to legalize it he'd be making it a major campaign issue, instead of his BS about considering civil unions. Now that having been said, just because most (not all) of the party does not support gay marriage does not mean that they hate gays or want them out of our country. I think you're just wanting them to have that attitude because it will justify your disliking of them.

I'm sure many Republicans do support gay marriage (or civil unions to avoid the religious meaning of it).

BUT their leadership is showing an obvious hatred of gays with an attempt to make them feel like second class citizens and taking away their liberties with a constitutional ban on gay marriage.

Kerry is for gay marriage, he is one of only 12 senators that didn't vote for the Defense of Marriage Act.

Kerry also isn't planning on taking more gay rights away like Bush has already done, and isn't planning on adding hate into the Constitution.

The reason why he has to say the cival unions is because most of the country doesn't want gay marriage and if he said he was for it he wouldn't win.

The Republicans wouldn't let the gay delegates into meetings in several States and the Republicains said that "the [Log Cabin Republicans aka gay republicans] don't repecent out belifs". The Republican party doesn't want gays to be here, but we are and aren't going anywhere so they just make up dumb laws like the Jim Crow Laws against gays.

one of the major platforms for repubs at the convention is the constitutional banning of gay marriage, if that is not showing that they are against gay people I dont know what is. Half of the repubs there cant make a straight marriage work and they are telling other people they cant get married.

I don't know how having two loving parents instead of one because of a hetro divorce is bad, but the republicans think it is.

Socity falling in my favorite considering may countries over seas have gay marriage or civil unions, which over there is the same thing as marriage, it's not in the USA for years. Denmark has had gay marriage for close to two decades now.

But remember these Republican beliefs come from the Catholic Church that came out and said that women shouldn't have equal rights a few weeks ago.

The most prominent country that supports anything close to this is France and they don't even support gay marriage only civil unions. Believe me I'm all for gay marriage but unfortunetly most of society just isn't ready to accept it yet.

I am pretty sure I specially remember an MTV interview when he said he personally didn't believe in gay marriage, but he didn't simply want to ban it.
