I think that there is two editions though, a regular edition and a limited edition. The limited has a necklace with it. I know that rightstuf has the limited, I don't know what the one on DDD is.

Yea, there is a limited edition. I found it here. Kind of pricey but it says in the description that they are limited to only 15,000. Here's the link.

Probably could find it for cheaper but I didn't look anywhere else.

on ebay you can buy episodes like 1 too 100 plus the movie for around 100 bucks, go for that instead

The limited edition just comes with a necklace though, I mean I don't know about you but that doesn't appeal to me enough to fork over the extra cash for it. Not to mention Right Stuf is expensive on stuff like that.

I wish anime was sold like family guy, aqua teen, etc.

I don't know, that necklace is pretty rocking!

Uhhh, those sets are absolutely horrible, don't recommend anything like that to a person asking an honest question.

Yeah but I mean DDD has the set for 65.99, Right Stuf wants 107.99 plus shipping for the limited edition , I mean the difference is over 40 bucks just for a necklace.

You just missed Right Stuf's Viz sale last week - 40% off retail. That put the LE at $71 and change shipped.
My advice - ALWAYS order your anime from Right Stuf. They have the best prices if you get a Got Anime membership, which gives you 10% off each order, and then combine it with their coupons or studio sales. And they are dependable - I've gotten screwed too many times from other retailers, so I just buy everything at Right Stuf.

heyo,
does it matter to you if it has eng dubbings or what not? Also, do you want the region 1 directs? Because the hong kong versions are pretty much the same as the eng versions. There are two sets in hong kong, regular edition (jap voices with eng subs) and perfect edition (jap voices with eng subs AND eng voice). The perfect editions are like $5 more, but are well worth it.
on the site i buy my anime dvds from...
HK Anime DVDs FX INU YASHA PERFECT TV Bundle (1 - 54)
(Out of Stock) $72.00 06/16/04
HK Anime DVDs FX INU YASHA PERFECT TV Limited Edition Boxset (1 - 54)
(Out of Stock) $72.00 06/16/04
HK Anime DVDs FX INU YASHA PERFECT TV Pt 1 (1 - 18) $24.00 07/24/03 Add
HK Anime DVDs FX INU YASHA PERFECT TV Pt 3 (37 - 54) $24.00 06/16/04 Add
HK Anime DVDs FX INU YASHA PERFECT TV Pt 2 (19 - 36)
Pretty cheap, huh?

Nope. I want real dvd not those horrible HK dvd with horrible subtitle. The quality is questionable. I think the limited edition sucks (value) unless you want to sell it on ebay after a couple years. Why pay $40 more a necklace?

I've watched episodes 1-160 with fansubs... Don't care for dubs or the dvd prices, though I do buy the dvds if they're a good deal.
If its at episode 160, and its supposedly 1/3rd done, how many thousands of dollars will they want for the whole series? How many episodes are on each dvd? 3? And they're $20-$25 each? No thank you. The season 1 boxset is $70 at Amazon, and that has 27 episodes.

The series ended at 166 actually. And yea, buying DVDs gets really expensive with longer series. <3 fansubs
The LE is on sale again at rightstuf.com, $71.99 plus shipping ($3.00). Shipping is free if order is over $99.00.

Specifically, 166-167 will be airing on September 13, ending the TV series. There's a fourth movie which will be released in theaters in Japan nnear the end of December.
The Fx sets that avrame were talking about are great quality actually, and the sets are nice and compact. If you want the Region 1's, you're gonna be paying quite a bit (3 eps for an average of $20). There's 21 dvds out now (so roughly 63 episodes). Even with the LE's or season sets, it's gonna add up.

Actually there was a big problem with the FX sets a while ago which cause quite a buzz. I am pretty sure that this has been fixed though.

Inu Yasha Seaon 1 Box Set is 27 episodes = Vol. 1-9 with 3 episodes per disc and it Already Released. Viz just Remaster & Put 5-6 episodes on 5 DVD's to make a BOX SET 1.
After Pre-ORDER and Discount Price your total come around $55 - $70. Still better deal if you pickup Vol. 1 - 9 seperate.

The only problem I knew about was the third dvd in the 2nd boxset. I just sent the disc back to the site I bought it from and they sent me a replacement. Were there other problems?

I'm thinking of picking up some DVD sets from Hong Kong ebay dealers.
Are there any dealers with better products than others?

I shop at animeniacs.com - if you're looking for a good, reputable site (rather than ebay). They have a huge inventory of the HK sets for a wealth of anime titles. Shipping is a little high - $6 - so I would buy a few sets (when you're ready) all at once just to make up for the shipping. They have a lot of other merchandise as well. :)
