Go on eBay and click real estate then search for .01-10.00 and you can bid on really cheap 250 acre plots no one wants and end up paying like 25.00, I'm the proud owner of a ranch in Wyoming! ( I live in NY))

I thought that might cause a problem. Reminds me of that Simpsons, where Bart bought that old factory.

I doubt it'll be cheap....property taxes can run pretty high...

A lot of those auctions are also for down payments, and you'll be stuck with 20 years of a couple $100s/month; just fair warning. I was looking at some Canadian property for it, and it really was a shaft if you didn't read the fine print.

I might look into it more and then do it,
Does anyone remember when The Things You Never Knew Existed catalog was selling plots on the moon and in the Atlantic?

All eBay real estate auctions are non-binding. I guess you could still get hit with neg feedback though. (But since somebody outbid you it doesn't matter anyway :) )

That's funny because no one has the right to sell land on the moon. All of those companies that sell planets and stars are bogus and a waste of money.

You are aware that is a federal prosecutable offense, aren't you? They're currently sorting out a large bunch who've registering in both NY and Florida.
