Has anyone had the 10 showtime trophy not register? I've completed 14 or so, but never got the trophy (I think after that I only need another 1 or 2 for my first platinum).

I probably won't make it this Tuesday, but I hope it stays in the rotation, it's probably the most fun I've had with a racing game since Gran Turismo 2

I've had the same problem. You may need to start a new file and just quickly get 10 showtime road rules if you want the trophy.

Wow, they should really fix that, I had to copy my current save to a usb drive, delete it (I was kind of scared) start a new game, get the trophy, then delete that and copy it back from the drive.

I do have my first platinum though (and from the looks of things it may remain my only one for a while)

No worries. I would say Mana held up the game the longest. And guiddy, for the Wildcats Trophy, you just need 8 people. It doesn't matter if it's cars or bikes (but there are Bike/Car specific challenges for that). Sorry for getting disconnected at the end. I've had some questionable online service lately.

It didn't really matter though, it seemed like we only had 2-3 more 6-player Challenges to do overall. I might hold a Bike event next week, who knows. But I have to think about it.

I've played about 5-6 hours of this game yesterday. Played earlier today and did some stuff. I got online and played and then saved everything and was done.

Got on just now and it still says that I've earned 11 out of X number of cars, but I can only see about 7-8 of them. Also instead of being around 18%, for some reason my file says I'm at 2%? I just turned it on so I couldn't have earned 2%.

Is this a glitch or is there something I need to do? There's absolutely no way I'm playing all of the stuff over that I did so I'm looking for a miracle from someone.

have you unlocked the gamestop/walmart/etc cars yet? You will be unable to use them until you have the appropriate license, but they might be considered 'unlocked' in that sense. Not sure about the save file thingy, but you may just have to do it all over again, which would suck, but hopefully not take too long.

Yeah... I noticed my speaker icon was nearly constantly lit up, though, I don't know why. Even if I muted the TV it was still lit up... The only time it went away was when I unplugged my Eye.

I'm afraid that the content is going to be expensive. The difference between reg. version of burnout and the ultimate box is twenty dollars. If that's how much the party content is I will be flabbergasted. Regardless I am really looking forward to getting one hundred percent in burnout this weekend once I put my complete save file back on my ps3 after I get the glitched trophies.

Yep -- I checked it under the accessories setting. I may pick it up if I'm around the local GS but no rush I suppose.

Lots of fun, will have to remember to turn the microphone on on my PS3 Camera before entering the game next time, wouldn't let me switch it on without leaving the game and I had a hard enough time getting in the game in the first place :lol:.

I'm going for elite license currently too, I've had pretty good success so far using fast, aggressive cars, knock'em off the road whenever you run out of boost 8-). Can't wait for the restart feature on those damn races which go from downtown to the windmill/observatory and the burning routes.

Have you ever played San Francisco Rush? Previous Burnout games gave a little of the SFR vibe, but when they moved Burnout into an Open world the more I think about it, the more it reminds me of SFR (arcadey controls, stunts, insane jumps, and shortcuts). About the only annoying thing about the move to open world is having to drive back to the start line to retry a race which ends on the other side of the map, but that's being fixed in a patch on Feb 6th.

I just got the game and install a 385 mb patch. I didn't see any DLC on PSN. Does the patch have all the DLC or did I look in the wrong place?

Yeah, until February 5th/6th, all DLC on the PS3 version are available through a game update. On February 5th/6th is when the paid DLC hits the PS Store.

It just kind of sucks because I have to delete my save file after backing it up because of the trophy glitch. It's either that or wait until the new patch comes out and IF they fix it, I would still not have 100% thanks to the new trophies.

Anyways, for Sunday, 5pm, it'll be Cars this time. Not DLC based like I planned unless they put it all out at once. I plan on doing it for 2 hours, or until everyone leaves. The main focus will be Freeburn Challenges, not Time Challenges. Just make sure you have enough time to download the patch before playing. I've heard it's a pretty substantial update, upwards of 150mb.

Well...you unlock a car by doing 2 sets of Freeburn Challenges (Not Time Challenges), and I thought people would want help in making progress for that car.

Myself, DD83, owl and several others had an impromptu Burnout night yesterday. It was a heck of a lot of fun. I was glad I was able to show up my shiny new paint. Sadly the new paint doesn't help my stunt skills nor my sense of direction.

So with Criterion's announcement (via their twitter) that the Legendary Cars are coming out this month (Meaning this week or next) I've decided that the Sunday after that happens (Either February 22nd or March 1st) I'll be holding the Legendary Cars Burnout Afternoon Event @ 6pm est on that Sunday.

No idea what it'll entail though, but I'm sort of going through all the Challenges (Timed and Freeburn) and marking off which areas they are in, so that way we can do more Challenges in a short amount of time. The other day while doing some 2 player challenges, it got REALLY tedious to go from White Mountain to Big Surf Beach back to Ridge Way, back to the Waterfront then back to Dead Man's Edge.

EDIT: SCRATCH what I said about March 1st. We're doing it THIS SUNDAY! The Legendary Cars will be available the 19th!

Fun times last night. Sorry I had to hop out. Burnout used to never make me sick, but both times I've played it since doing the update patch have set-off my simulation sickness. I wonder if there is any way that Sony would let me take the patch off if this continues?

Burnout Legendary Cars Night
3-5 Freeburn Challenges then Timed Challenges

Since people seem to be up in arms over the DLC pricing, especially for the DeLorean, it will not be a requirement that you use a Legendary Car. BUT if you buy the pack, you have to use a Legendary Car (It's the Honor System, folks!). Me though, I'm going to be using the Ecto-1.
