Alright! 'm now here in atehns OH attending Ohio University!....yeah? I don't know. People seem a little pretentious here, but it IS my first day, so I think I owe it to give one semester to test it out. My mom has been really upset about me leaving (don't know why) so I think I should call her now to let her know I'm alright, then I'll be walking around campus to see where I have to go tommorow. Thanks for all the support and.....here's hoping to GOD the bus can take me to the mall!http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v354/realitysfringe/1000posts.jpg

Be happy that you are leaving for college. Both the junior college I am currently at and the university I plan to attend are right down the street. No adventuring for me.

Hope you get a good roomate, I had the misfortune of getting a real winner my 1st semester. His smell scared away any girls I had over, and he was a big boy to say the least.

If by Ohio University, you mean OSU - and you've not spent any time in Columbus, you're in for a treat. I haven't been in that area for a good number of years now, but I remember some great goings on right off campus. Fun bars - good local shows/bands - a few fantastic record stores (Magnolia Thunderpussy's if it's still there). I didn't go to OSU personally, but I did attend an Audio Engineering school about 30 minutes south of Columbus, and spent a good bit of my free time there. Also there is a great coin-op auction that that hold a few times a year at the fairground outside the city where you can snaggle up on some great classics for the right price...however the name of the auction is eluding me.

Man.....this is my last year at college (provided I don't somehow find money for grad school) and I'm starting to get Senioritis already (I don't start classes for another week!). Live it up while you can man. I've partied it up, but there's a few opportunities I wish I hadn't passed up. Good luck and remember this one tip:

The food at ALDI, as cheap as it is, IS STILL FOOD.

Man I wish I would have gone off to college like this. Instead I get to drive over to Northern Virginia Community College after work once a week. The rest of the time I get to do my homework at work. No parties. No chicks. The only consolation is that I get paid pretty damned well for what I do. But I'd rather be out there enjoying the world.

Have a good time man. Believe it or not, there are plenty of people who would like to be in your shoes right now.

Don't shaq-fu around too, too much your frosh year. I remember I drank more my first semester frosh year than I had at any other point in my life. Your GPA follows you, don't forget.

So do STDs, incidently.

Live it up, but don't forget there's life after college.

Yeah, alot of people seem to forget that you're going to college to set up for the rest of you're life. We lost about half of the people in my major because they flunked out, and there wasn't anything too tough about what we were doing either. Try to do the best you can for these four years, because if you do great and get a good job after college, you can party for the rest of your life. Don't buy into the hype, and make sure you take care of YOURSELF. Nobody you party with will care if you have all your work done.

Don't fail sucka, don't be a fool.

No guarantees......

At anyrate, I'm finished packing right now. My parents had told me that I wasn't "allowed to take all my videogames" so I finally got them to agree to being allowed to take all the games I could shove in my footlocker....let's say I got a good amount in:

Goodluck! It might a little overwhelming at first, but once you figure out the system, you will be surprised at how well you can get by with an absolute minimum of work. Leaves more time for partying and video games!

Word of advice:

If you find a cool, attractive girl who's also SOMEWHAT into video games, do everything you can to stay with her. If you find a girl you can have fun with, you'll be that much happier. (and if you're lucky like me, you'll find someone super cute too  )

Speaking from current experience, all the shit a girl can put you through will almost always pay off in the end if you are true to her.

Ok, that's enough of my hopeless romanticism for now. Live it up while you can, but remember nothing compares to finding true love.
